Amass Los Angeles Dry Gin (750ml)

SKU #1380759 91 points Wine Enthusiast

There’s a lot going on in this gin, made with a mix of 29 botanicals, including California grapefruit, California bay leaf and a duo of mushrooms. Yet somehow, it all comes together: the opening salvo is spicy and bold with anise, pepper, and clove, before moving to a waxy lemon peel and juniper midpalate and finishing dry and dusty with suggestions of cocoa powder, coriander, and spicy grains of paradise. K&L Notes

Distiller's notes: "Distilled with 29 botanicals, this gin is a celebration of the natural terroir and the diverse cultural landscape of contemporary Los Angeles. We blended indigenous botanicals, like California bay and cascara sagrada, with bright top notes of citrus, for which Los Angeles is so well-known and admired. Exotic ingredients like hibiscus, cardamom, cacao, and kaffir lime leaf add complexity and evoke the rich cultural fabric that is the 'spirit' of the City of Angels."

- When people consider domestic wine, they normally think about the state of California. The fine viticultural Region within California, including the Napa Valley, Sonoma, Santa Cruz Mountains, Mendocino and Santa Barbara, are capable of growing grapes of world-class quality. But there's plenty of fabulous wine coming from other states, too. Oregon, Washington and New York are also causing eyebrows (and glassware) to be raised around the world.
