2016 Produttori del Barbaresco Barbaresco (Pre-Arrival) ($39.99)

95 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2016 Barbaresco is a tight and beautiful wine that will require more time to unwind and soften. This beautifully balanced vintage is characterized by a tight inner core of fruit that underlines the graceful aging capacity of these wines. The 2016 is shaping up to be one destined for long cellar aging. Now in its youth, the wine offers wild berry, rose and licorice aromas. (ML)" (06/2019)

95 points Wine Enthusiast: "Enticing aromas of violet, woodland berry, loose vineyard soil, wild mint and a hint of spearmint shape the intensely fragrant nose. The tense, young palate is still nervous but already boasts finesse, showing wild raspberry, crunchy red cherry, white pepper and star anise. Firm, refined tannins and racy acidity give it a linear, almost austere elegance, while bright acidity keeps it focused and balanced. Drink 2026-2036. *Cellar Selection* (KO)" (09/2019)

94 points Vinous: "The 2016 Barbaresco is a stunning wine with tremendous richness for this bottling. Ample, deep and powerful, the 2016 exudes pedigree and class from start to finish. I can't remember a straight Barbaresco here with this much fruit density and unctuous richness, and yet there is more than enough tannin and overall structure to give the wine its classically leaning feel. A blast of sweet red cherry fruit, tobacco, menthol licorice and smoke hits the potent finish. What a wine! (AG)" (11/2019)

2010 Produttori del Barbaresco Barbaresco (Pre-Arrival) ($49.99)

93 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Barabresco opens to beautiful aromas of forest floor, white truffle and cola. All the fruit from Produttori del Barbaresco's single-vineyard wines are packed into this one base Barbaresco. The wine is sharp and focused and, although it does not have the soft generosity of 2009 or 2011, this is a wine of enormous elegance. I did not find the mouthfeel to be exceedingly thin. In fact, I noted the persistence, freshness and liveliness of the finish. (ML) 93+" (06/2015)

92 points James Suckling: "Beautiful aromas of white truffles, plums and berries. HInts of spices. Full to medium body with fine tannins and beautiful licorice, berry and fennel seed. Very pretty length. Drinkable now but better in 2015." (04/2014)

91 points Vinous: "(as the Produttori has declassified its crus in 2010, there will be 28,000 cases of this blend): Tangy cherry and raspberry aromas are lifted by flowers and mint on the cool, inviting nose. Silky-sweet and floral, with lovely inner-mouth juiciness to its red berry flavors. Owing to the wine's moderate body and flesh, the tannins show a slightly dryness but the long, juicy finish offers enticing floral perfume. A lovely, sharply delineated Barbaresco at a very reasonable price. (ST) 91+" (11/2013)

90 points Wine Spectator: "The sweet cherry, tar and menthol flavors quickly concede to stiff tannins in this beefy red, which is lively, with a mouthwatering finish of savory, minerally accents. Best from 2017 through 2027. (BS)" (10/2014)

2013 Produttori del Barbaresco "Montestefano" Barbaresco Riserva (1.5L) (Pre-Arrival) - 0 available ($149.99)

96 points Wine Enthusiast: "New leather, camphor, forest berry, dried rose and culinary spice are some of the aromas you'll find on this exceptional red. The firmly structured, poised palate doles out juicy cranberry, crushed raspberry, white pepper and star anise framed in tightly-knit, refined tannins while bright acidity provides energy and balance. Drink 2020-2033 (KO) *Editors' Choice*" (03/2018)

96 points Wine Spectator: "This is full-bodied, displaying cherry, licorice, wild herb, iron and tobacco notes. The dense tannins take over and dominate the finish now, despite this remaining fresh and long. Full-bodied and minerally. (BS)" (05/2018)

95 points Vinous: "A dark, brooding wine, the 2013 Barbaresco Riserva Montestefano comes across as quite virile today, with huge tannins and equally imposing dark fruit. Smoke, leather, licorice and game add to an impression of raw, almost unrestrained, power. There is not a whole lot of finesse here at least not now. The Montestefano is a wine painted in broad brush strokes that emphasize power over elegance. Then again, that is Montestefano. Readers should be in no rush to open the 2013. (AG) 95+" (10/2017)

2013 Produttori del Barbaresco "Montestefano" Barbaresco Riserva 6-Pack (Pre-Arrival) - 0 available ($400.00)

2013 Produttori del Barbaresco "Muncagota" Barbaresco Riserva 6-Pack (Pre-Arrival) - 0 available ($395.00)

94 points Wine Spectator: "Powerful yet underlined by racy acidity, driving the black cherry, black currant and mineral flavors. Menthol and tobacco notes add depth, keeping this intense. All the components are here, yet this will need time to really sing. (BS)" (05/2018)

2013 Produttori del Barbaresco "Ovello" Barbaresco Riserva (1.5L) (Pre-Arrival) - 0 available ($139.99)

96 points Vinous: "The Produttori's 2013 Barbaresco Riserva Ovello is all power, tension and nerve. Even so, the 2013 is remarkably civilized and much less austere than young Ovello Barbarescos usually are. Scents of cranberry, white pepper and mint give the wine its signature high-toned aromatics. The Ovello has a Volnay-like purity to its fruit, with Nebbiolo tannins and structure, of course. If that sounds appealing, well, it is. Vivid, sculpted and impossibly beautiful, the Ovello is simply magnificent." (10/2017)

95 points Wine Spectator: "This red starts out with bright cherry, strawberry, rose and mineral flavors, allied to a refined, linear frame. Harmonious now and should be ready soon, but the vivid structure will serve it well into the future. (BS)" (05/2018)

2013 Produttori del Barbaresco "Pora" Barbaresco Riserva 6-Pack (Pre-Arrival) - 0 available ($375.00)

94 points Vinous: "The 2013 Barbaresco Riserva Pora is soft, pliant and enveloping. In many vintages, the Pora can be a bit light. Not in 2013. The wine is rich and deeply textured, with layers of fruit that continue to build with time in the glass. The tannins are present, but they are nearly buried by the sheer intensity of the fruit. This is an especially powerful, brooding edition of the Pora. Although impressive today, the 2013 will drink well for decades to come." (10/2017)

2014 Produttori del Barbaresco "Montestefano" Barbaresco Riserva (1.5L) (Pre-Arrival) - 0 available ($129.99)

96 points Wine Enthusiast: "Forest floor, red-skinned berry, leather and tobacco aromas mingle with a balsamic note. The focused, structured palate delivers juicy Morello cherry, raspberry compote and licorice while a graphite note backs up the finish. A backbone of fine-grained tannins and bright acidity gives it an age-worthy structure. Drink 20212034. (KO)" (06/2019)

95 points Vinous: "One of the many highlights in this range, the Barbaresco Riserva Montestefano is superb. A big enrobing wine, the Montestefano wraps around the palate with stunning depth. Today, the Montestefano is utterly embryonic, and yet it exudes depth, resonance and pure class. The Montestefano is one of the more complete wines in the range because of the way it deftly balances fruit intensity and structure. Readers will have to be patient, though. (AG) 95+" (10/2018)

94 points Wine Spectator: "Pure cherry flavors permeate the rich flesh of this red, backed by vibrant acidity and fine tannins. Eucalyptus, earth and tar elements add depth as this cruises to a lingering finish. Fine intensity. Best from 2021 through 2040. (BS, Web Only-2019)"

93 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This is visibly the darkest in color and concentration of this series of wines from the well-known Produttori del Barbaresco cooperative. The 2014 Barbaresco Riserva Montestefano offers round and supple fruit with dark cherry, blackberry and some easy spice. Once again, the wine is a bit flatter than I had hoped, lacking that extra level of snappy freshness. (ML)" (06/2019)

Jancis Robinson: "Mid ruby and a shade brighter than the Montefico. Subtle peppery strawberry and raspberry but not really open yet. Compact and tightly built with lively succulent red fruit on a big foundation of formidable, majestic tannins. Long, precise and powerful yet contained. 18/20 points. (WS)" (05/2019)

2014 Produttori del Barbaresco "Muncagotta" Barbaresco Riserva 6-Pack (Pre-Arrival) - 0 available ($360.00)

94 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2014 Barbaresco Riserva Muncagota is beautifully polished and bright, with dark berry fruit, ripe cherry, crushed stone and pressed flowers. The wine is compact and firm, and you feel the tannins and power in the mouth. The Muncagota remains slightly more closed in terms of the bouquet, but this will open up with some time. (ML)" (06/2019)

94 points Vinous: "The 2014 Barbaresco Riserva Muncagota is another of the overachievers in this range. White pepper, bright red cherry, floral notes and mint cut through the fruit in this beautifully vivid, crystalline Barbaresco. There is a level of energy, drive and overall nuance in the 2014 I don't recall having seen in the past. The 2014 is a terrific Muncagota. (AG)" (10/2018)

93 points Wine Enthusiast: "Elegantly structured, this vibrant wine opens with aromas of underbrush, rose petal, red woodland berry and a whiff of new leather. The graceful palate boasts great energy and is delicately delicious, delivering juicy red cherry, pomegranate, star anise and white pepper. Polished tannins show some grip on the lingering finish. Drink 20202029. (KO)" (06/2019)

93 points Wine Spectator: "Lean and taut, this reveals mint, menthol, licorice, orange peel and subtle cherry flavors, all underscored by assertive tannins and lively acidity. An austere style, this will need time to come around. Best from 2023 through 2042. (BS, Web Only-2019)"

Jancis Robinson: "Mid ruby and the most youthful looking of all the 2014 Riserva crus. Cool raspberry nose that is slow to open up. Intense yet not sweet raspberry palate that is fresh and concentrated and with a firm structure. Very complete, but needs time. A little vibrant and mouth-watering on the finish. 17.5/20 points. 2014 Produttori del Barbaresco "Ovello" Barbaresco Riserva (1.5L) (Pre-Arrival) - 0 available ($129.99)

95 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Always one of my favorite wines from Produttori del Barbaresco, the 2014 Barbaresco Riserva Ovello lays out a broad and soft mouthfeel, with tannins that have already been polished and integrated thanks to ample time in the bottle already. It's safe to say that this Ovello cru loyally demonstrates the level of richness and textural softness that this site is known for. The bouquet is redolent of bright berry fruit with cherry, blackberry and plum. Also, the 2014 vintage was a warm one at the end of the growing season, and you taste a little bit of that ripeness here too. (ML)" (06/2019)

95 points Vinous: "The 2014 Barbaresco Riserva Ovello is bright and piercing, as it so often is, and yet it also has more than enough fruit to fill out its mid-weight, energetic frame. Pine, mint, crushed rocks and sweet red plum build into the huge, piercing finish. The Ovello is another wine in this range that demands patience. Even in the early going it is super impressive. The 2014 s an unusually dense, packed Ovello. It should be terrific in another few years' time. (AG)" (10/2018)

94 points Wine Enthusiast: "Lovely aromas of perfumed berry, rose petal, aromatic herb and baking spice set the tone on this fragrant red. The ethereally elegant, medium-bodied palate is all about finesse and balance, delivering succulent red cherry, juicy raspberry, cinnamon and a dash of white pepper. It's nicely balanced, with polished tannins and fresh acidity. It's already accessible but will also age well over the next several years or more. Drink through 2026. (KO)" (06/2019)

93 points Wine Spectator: "Balsamic aromas of menthol, wild thyme and juniper complement the black cherry core of this muscular red, with dense tannins lending support. Though a bit more severe now than its peers, this is balanced overall and will age well. Best from 2022 through 2042. (BS, Web Only-2019)"

Jancis Robinson: "Mid ruby with orange tinges. Ripe, cool raspberry with quite a bit of concentration underneath, but still quite closed. Concentrated raspberry and strawberry palate with a linear, precise vein of acidity running all the way through. It gets more perfumed by the second while sitting in the glass. Bags of powdery tannins lining the concentrated, fresh raspberry fruit. 17.5/20 points. (WS)" (05/2019)

2014 Produttori del Barbaresco "Pora" Barbaresco Riserva 6-Pack (Pre-Arrival) - 0 available ($360.00)

94 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "I had tasted this vintage last year as a barrel sample. Now a fully complete wine, the 2014 Barbaresco Riserva Pora did not disappoint, and even jumped up a few points. The Riserva Pora opens to dark fruit intensity with a slightly more accessible quality. Those lovely floral tones of lavender and violet are ever present. After having spent three years in oak and another year in the bottle, this wine offers a looser mouthfeel in terms of tannic structure, making it a bit more open and immediate in personality. You could uncork this bottle in 2020 if you just can't wait, but ideally, it is meant for the longer haul. (ML)" (06/2019)

94 points Vinous: "The 2014 Barbaresco Riserva Pora is a dark, sensual beauty. Deeply spiced and balsamic, with tremendous textural richness, the Pora is utterly beguiling. I can't remember a Pora with this much depth, textural resonance and brooding intensity. The 2014 needs at least a few years to be at its best, but it is superb even in the early going. I won't be surprised if the 2014 turns out to be better than this note suggests. (AG)" (10/2018)

94 points Wine Enthusiast: "Menthol, woodland-berry and crushed herb aromas slowly take shape on this fragrant red. The savory palate doles out juicy Morello cherry, cranberry and licorice while bright acidity and polished tannins provide seamless support. Drink through 2029. (KO)" (06/2019)

93 points Wine Spectator: "Round and supple, exuding cherry, berry, licorice, eucalyptus and tar flavors. Harmonious and well-built, with a long aftertaste of menthol. Best from 2021 through 2038. (BS, Web Only-2019)"

Jancis Robinson: "Lustrous mid ruby with orange tinges. Sweet, peppery raspberry nose with hints of strawberry jam. Clean-cut raspberry palate with plenty of acidity, but the fragrant fruit follows through. Fine layer of sandy tannins that become more prominent on the finish. 17/20 points. (WS)" (05/2019)

95 points Wine Enthusiast: "New leather, camphor, red-berry and rose aromas lead the way on this vibrant red. The medium-bodied palate offers sour cherry, pomegranate and white pepper accompanied by bright acidity and polished fine-grained tannins that lead to a firm finish. (KO)" (06/2019)

93 points Vinous: "The 2014 Barbaresco Riserva Rio Sordo is the most open-knit and easygoing of these Riservas. Creamy and giving, the Rio Sordo is one of the more available of the Riservas in the early going, an impression that is reinforced by its mid-weight structure. Perfumed floral notes add lift to the dark, red-toned fruit. (AG)" (10/2018)
