2005 Kapcsandy "State Lane Vineyard" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this bottle of 2005 Kapcsandy "State Lane Vineyard" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (95RP, 91VN, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2005 Estate Cuvee State Lane Vineyard, which is a blend of 56% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot and 4% Cabernet Franc, spent 20 months in 100% new oak. There are 800 cases. The wine comes across as very Pauillac-like, with notes of cedar wood, crème de cassis, licorice and graphite. It is still opaque purple, full-bodied, pure, richly textured and impressive. It’s accessible and drinking well already, but promises to evolve for at least another 15 or more years. 2014 Domaine Heresztyn-Mazzini Clos-St.-Denis Grand Cru
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2014 Domaine Heresztyn-Mazzini Clos-St.-Denis Grand Cru ((92-94BH), (91-93RP)). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "A discreetly toasty nose offers up beautifully layered aromas of black cherry, rose petal, earth and a hint of tea. As one would reasonably expect the mouth feel of the textured middle weight flavors is notably finer even though this is every bit as structured as the Millandes, all wrapped in an impressively long finish that delivers the same fine complexity as the nose. This beautiful effort is a combination of finesse and power and once again at least a decade of patience will be required." (01/2016)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2015 Domaine Jean Tardy Echézeaux Grand Cru "Les Treux" Vieilles Vignes (93BH, 92RP, 90VN). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Here too there is enough toast and reduction present to warrant a thorough aeration if you're tempted to try a bottle young. There is excellent mid-palate density to the tautly muscular, firm and serious big-bodied flavors that deliver impressive persistence on the balanced and robust finale. This is not an Ech of refinement but it certainly is powerful, bold and built-to-age and I really like the significant upside development potential." (01/2018)

2006 Bond "Matriarch" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2006 Bond "Matriarch" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (94WE, 92JS, 92WS, 90RP, 90ST). Wine Enthusiast: "Matriarch often measures up to the level of BOND and Harlan Estate itself. It is a blend of various BOND components. The ’06 is a classically structured Napa blend, fat and flashy in youth, offering complex waves of blackberry and cherry tart, black currant, cola, licorice and sweet, spicy oak. There’s a savory meatiness reminiscent of salty bacon. But the tannins are significant." (04/2010)

2017 Aubert "CIX" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2017 Aubert "CIX" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay ((96-99RP), (97-98JS), 97VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "CIX stands for "109" as this block, planted in 2008 to Montrachet clones, was originally called "parcel 109" when they purchased it. The 2017 Chardonnay CIX Estate has an incredibly intense nose of lemon peel, green mango, fresh pears and powdered ginger with suggestions of baking bread, chopped cashews, lightly buttered popcorn and crème brûlée. The palate is full-bodied, concentrated and bold with a racy line carrying the citrus and savory layers to an incredibly long finish. (LPB)" (10/2018)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2007 Altesino "Montosoli" Brunello di Montalcino (98JS, 94RP, 93VN, 93WS, 92WE). James Suckling: "Best Montosoli since 1997. Aromas of plum jam and cherries follow through to a full body, with velvety tannins and a fruity finish. Pure fruit here. The purity to this wine is impressive. It is laser-guided in structure and fruit. " (12/2012)

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2011 Benjamin Leroux Meursault 1er Cru ''Le Porusot'' ((90-92BH), 90VN). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "An expressive and notably ripe nose features notes of brioche, white flowers, hazelnut and a mix of orchard fruit scents. 2005 La Rioja Alta "904" Gran Reserva Rioja
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2005 La Rioja Alta "904" Gran Reserva Rioja (96RP, 96WE, 95JS, 94VN, 93W&S, 92WS, 90DC). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2005 Gran Reserva 904 is a superb blend of Tempranillo from the villages of Briñas, Labastida and Villalba with 10% Graciano from Briones and Rodezno. The grapes were destemmed and crushed and fermented in stainless steel for 18 days at 25 C. Malolactic fermentation was spontaneous and lasted 38 days. These wines are marked by a long aging in used American oak barrels following the most strict Riojan tradition; four years during which time the wine was manually racked eight times. This is usually my favorite wine from La Rioja Alta and 2005 is one of its best showings, going back to the quality of the vintages of the 1950s and 60s. The nose is very balsamic with notes of camphor, hints of mint, leather and hung game wrapped around a core of cherries in liqueur. Together it is balanced, subtle, truly elegant and classical. The palate is

Musky aromas of crushed stone and lavender, with ineffable treble notes of minerals and violet. Offers an outstanding combination of power, thickness and cut; as penetrating, taut and wet-stony as this is, there's also an almost magical creamy quality. A superconcentrated and dense wine with outstanding energy and cut. 95+ (ST)" (09/2010)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2010 Cayuse "God Only Knows" Walla Walla Valley Grenache ((92-95JD), 94WE, 93RP, 93ST, 91WS). Jeb Dunnuck: "I was able to taste through multiple barrels of the 2010 God Only Knows and they all were impressive, showing cooler climate profiles with peppery, spicy, black cherry and cassis styled aromas, solid ripeness and deep, structured palates. There’s lot to love here and it will be interesting to see how this sun and heat loving variety ultimately shows from bottle in this cooler than average vintage. " (06/2011)

1999 Scarpa Barbaresco Tettineive
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1999 Scarpa Barbaresco Tettineive. From importer Porto Vino: "Antica Casa Vinicola Scarpa has been producing traditional wines in the Monferrato hills of southeast Piemonte since 1854. But it was Mario Pesce, admired by both Giacosa and Gaja, who made Scarpa’s reputation in the second half of the 20th century. Traditional sometimes means ‘rustic’, but that’s not the case here. 1988 Calera "Jensen Vineyard" Mt. Harlan Pinot Noir
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1988 Calera "Jensen Vineyard" Mt. Harlan Pinot Noir (96RP, 95VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of the most profound Pinot Noirs I have ever tasted ... anywhere, this extraordinary 14-year old wine remains extremely youthful in spite of its majestic display of aromas and flavors. Boasting prodigious concentration in addition to a stunning smorgasbord of aromas (Japanese soy, candied red and black fruits, autumnal leaves, forest floor, and caramels), it is opulent and dense, with spectacular concentration, medium to full body, and surprising lightness in the mouth. This stunning effort proves that this vineyard can compete with France’s most magical red Burgundies. Not yet fully mature, it should evolve for another decade. Unbelievable wine! (RP)" (12/2002)

The 2015 is just starting to soften, but ideally it needs another few years in bottle to be at its finest. 1976 Ducru-Beaucaillou, St-Julien
Bid on this bottle of 1976 Ducru-Beaucaillou, St-Julien. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Tasted blind in Bordeaux, the 1976 Ducru Beaucaillou seems to be in gentle, respectable decline. Here there are attractive, loose-knit red berry and cold black tea scents on the nose, the warmth from that summer still evident and somehow, comforting, perhaps compensating for its lack of complexity. The palate is medium-bodied with mushroom and a curious tang of licorice allsorts! It is not dissimilar to the magnum served at the property in 2011, although I think in bottle it is just a few steps further along its drinking plateau. Larger formats should still hold pleasure, but bottles should be consumed in the not too distant future. Tasted April 2016. Drink through 2021. (NM)" (07/2016)

1973 Mount Eden Vineyards "Estate" Santa Cruz Mountains Pinot Noir
Bid on this bottle of 1973 Mount Eden Vineyards "Estate" Santa Cruz Mountains Pinot Noir (93JG). John Gilman: "This was only the second vintage produced at the newly christened Mount Eden Vineyards, with the wine made by Richard and Peter Graff. It was a very fine growing season and the Graff brothers made this entirely from whole clusters and were able to produce 404 cases from the old vines. The wine at age forty-three is still at its apogee and offers up a beautiful, tertiary constellation of dark berries, sous bois, roasted pigeon, a complex base of soil, cigar ash and a touch of menthol in the upper register. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, complex and absolutely à point, with fine structure and vitality, lovely balance and a very long, complex and classy finish. Beautiful and nearly timeless wine. (Drink between 2016-2035)" (05/2016)

2012 Continuum Oakville Bordeaux Blend (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum of 2012 Continuum Oakville Bordeaux Blend (1.5L) (97RP, 96JS, 94VN, 94WS, 93WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This is the first year that this wine was made from 100% estate-grown fruit from Continuum’s Sage Mountain vineyard. A blend of 78% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Cabernet Franc, 5% Petit Verdot and 2% Merlot, the 2012 Proprietary Red has a deep garnet-purple color and gorgeous crème de cassis, exotic spices, fragrant earth and Christmas pudding notions with touches of chocolate box and licorice. The palate is full-bodied and deliciously concentrated, with a firm, grainy-textured backbone supporting the impressive mid-palate density, finishing very long and harmonious. (LPB)" (02/2019)

2012 Anomaly Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2012 Anomaly Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (94WE). Wine Enthusiast: "This is a powdery, pillowy and richly lush wine that flirts with voluptuous tendencies of soft, juicy red fruit, yet offers pretty floral elements and complex seasonings of cinnamon and nutmeg on the nose. At the same time, the underlying grip provides structure and depth. *Cellar Selection* (VB)" (08/2016)

1978 Keenan Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 1978 Keenan Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. The first vintage of the newly eponymous Robert Keenan Winery, after Keenan purchased and renamed the defunct, pre-Prohibition Conradi vineyard on Spring Mountain. An historic specimen of 1970s Napa Valley Cabernet. "True to form, this smells attractive..." The Wine Spectator found in a 1992 horizontal tasting of 1978 California Cabernet, while noting that it had not yet resolved its tannin and oak at that date. (11/92) More recent consumer reviews (from 2011 on) indicate that this wine is holding up well.

1974 Mayacamas "Napa Mountain" Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 1974 Mayacamas "Napa Mountain" Cabernet Sauvignon (98JG, 97WS, 95VN). John Gilman: "The 1974 vintage of Mayacamas Cabernet included 8% Merlot in the blend and was released originally in October of 1978 for $9.50 per bottle. This was reported by John Tilson back in 1980 to be a massively powerful and tannic example of the vintage in need of decades of bottle age to soften up and become approachable. At the time, he thought the wine was excellent in potential, but not likely to match the brilliant 1970 vintage here. Along with the Heitz Martha’s Vineyard, this remains my favorite wine of the vintage, and the wine was stunning at our tasting this past September. The bouquet is deep, pure and riveting, delivering a fine constellation of cassis, black cherries, cigar ash, gorgeously complex soil tones, black truffles, cigar smoke and a nice touch of chipotles in the upper register. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and almost sappy at the core, with great foc

2006 Marcassin "Marcassin Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay
Bid on this bottle of 2006 Marcassin "Marcassin Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (96RP, 96WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Buttery brioche, honeyed citrus, caramelized pear and lemon, and a distinct earthy aroma jump from the glass of this light medium gold-colored wine. More buttery than most Marcassin Chardonnays, with good acidity, this deep, rich, full-bodied beauty is somewhat outclassed by some of the compelling efforts that have been produced at this magical vineyard. 2008 Screaming Eagle "Second Flight" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this bottle of 2008 Screaming Eagle "Second Flight" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (92RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2008 Second Flight emerges from the glass with black cherries, plums, mocha, espresso and chocolate. This is an especially round, rich vintage for Second Flight. All the elements are in the right place, but overall, 2008 does not appear to be one of the estate’s very finest years. Of course, that is in relative terms. The 2008 is 53% Cabernet Sauvignon and 47% Merlot. I have had a number of fabulous tastings at Screaming Eagle, but this was one of the most memorable. The biggest news at Screaming Eagle is the release of a second wine, a project that has been in the works for a number of years. Owner Stan Kroenke and his team wanted to make sure their new wine was up to the estate’s standards, and have only released the first vintages over the last few months. I tasted all four vintages of Screaming Eagle’s second label, Second Flight, next to Screaming Eagle

1991 Dunn Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 1991 Dunn Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon (96ST, 93RP, 93VN, 91WS). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Bright, deep red-ruby. Wonderfully mellow and complex on the nose, offering everything from fresh dark fruits to chocolate, red licorice, flowers and graphite minerality. Pure liquid silk in the mouth; at once sharply delineated and edge-free thanks to superb harmonious acidity, possessing a wonderfully tight core of juicy fruit. This very dry, classic Howell Mountain Cabernet finishes with serious dusty but sweet tannins and will still improve. Stunning wine. (ST)" (08/2018)

Bid on this magnum of 2006 Louis Jadot Batard Montrachet Grand Cru (1.5L) ((95-96RP), 94W&S, 94WE, 94WS, 93JG, 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "From the Puligny side of that cru, Jadot’s 2006 Batard-Montrachet from both purchased juice and grapes delivers vivid scents of saffron, jasmine, vanilla, musk, brown spices, and ripe peach. Vibrant – virtually electric – on the palate, yet all the while creamy in texture, here is a wine to make one firmly believe in the house proclivity to retain some malic acid. Blind, I might have imagined – at least until further reflection, and recognition of this wine’s sheer power – that I was drinking the Marcobrunn Riesling of my dreams. The persistence of fruit and spice here are as formidable as the foregoing features led one to hope. (DS)" (12/2008)

2009 Sine Qua Non "The Thrill of Stamp Collecting" Syrah
Bid on this bottle of 2009 Sine Qua Non "The Thrill of Stamp Collecting" Syrah (95RP, 95ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Syrah The Thrill Of impresses for its poise and underlying energy. Dark fruit, spices, licorice and violets sit on a core of firm tannin as this powerful wine opens up in the glass. Today, The Thrill Of comes across as very, very young. The intensity of the fruit and the oak are dominant at present. In another few years the wine should be spectacular. The Thrill Of... is 90% Syrah, 6% Grenache and 4% Viognier, all destemmed and mostly from estate owned vineyards. (AG)" (08/2012)

2013 Ovid Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum of 2013 Ovid Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (1.5L) (98RP, 98VN, 95DC, 94WS, 93JS). Vinous: "This tasting reinforces my view that the 2013 is the most complete Ovid yet. Dark, powerful and vertical in its sense of structure, the 2013 possesses terrific intensity, with a backbone of firm tannin that will allow the wine to age gracefully for many years. I wouldn’t dream of touching a bottle before age ten. Vivid and exceptionally balanced, the 2013 Ovid captures all the pedigree that is such a signature of this great Napa Valley vintage.
