1973 Mount Eden Vineyards "Estate" Santa Cruz Mountains Pinot Noir
Bid on this bottle of 1973 Mount Eden Vineyards "Estate" Santa Cruz Mountains Pinot Noir (93JG). John Gilman: "This was only the second vintage produced at the newly christened Mount Eden Vineyards, with the wine made by Richard and Peter Graff. It was a very fine growing season and the Graff brothers made this entirely from whole clusters and were able to produce 404 cases from the old vines. The wine at age forty-three is still at its apogee and offers up a beautiful, tertiary constellation of dark berries, sous bois, roasted pigeon, a complex base of soil, cigar ash and a touch of menthol in the upper register. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, complex and absolutely à point, with fine structure and vitality, lovely balance and a very long, complex and classy finish. Beautiful and nearly timeless wine. (Drink between 2016-2035)" (05/2016)

2011 & 2014 Saxum "James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend Tasting Lot
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2011 & 2014 Saxum "James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend Tasting Lot, including 1-bottle of 2011 Saxum "James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (96RP, 96VN, 94ST, 93WS) and 3-bottles of 2014 Saxum "James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (98RP, 97WS, 96VN). Of the 2014 Saxum "James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The sensationally pure and seamless 2014 James Berry Vineyard Proprietary Red (42% Grenache, 24% Mourvèdre, 21% Syrah, 8% Counoise and 5% Roussanne) was brought up in a mix of barrels and foudre, followed by six months in concrete tanks. The wine offers incredibly rich and layered notes of black raspberries, creme de cassis, crushed flowers, melted licorice and peppery herbs in its full-bodied, impeccably balanced profile. Showing the more upfront, hedonistic style of the vintage, this full-bodied beauty still has ample underlying tannin, beautiful mid-palate depth and a killer finis

2012 Sine Qua Non "Stock" Central Coast Syrah
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Sine Qua Non "Stock" Central Coast Syrah (98RP, 96VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A step up from the Grenache, the blockbuster-styled 2012 Syrah Stock checks in as a blend of 84% Syrah, 7% Grenache, 6% Petit Sirah, and the rest Viognier and Mourvedre, that was fermented with 32% whole clusters and aged in just over half new French oak. It offers stunning notes of blackcurrants, cassis, smoked meats, ground pepper and wild herbs to go with a full-bodied, unctuous, layered, yet always graceful and elegant feel on the palate. Nicely structured, with perfect overall balance, it still has the open-knit character of the vintage, yet has plenty of underlying structure, which at the moment is slightly hidden by the wine's lavish fruit. It will be better in 2-3 years, and have two decades of overall longevity. (JD)" (08/2015)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2015 Schrader "Beckstoffer To Kalon - CCS" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100JD, 99RP, 98JS, 94WS). Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard CCS is the gem in the lineup and is a perfect wine in every sense. Possessing a deep purple color, awesome minerality in its graphite, blueberry, cassis, and spice-driven aromatics, full-bodied richness and a weightless, elegant yet powerful style that needs to be tasted to be believed, this heavenly 2015 glides over the palate and is as seamless and pure as they come. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2015 Philip Togni "Estate" Spring Mountain District Cabernet Sauvignon (96RP, 96WS, 94VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Medium garnet-purple colored, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate has a very classic nose of cassis, warm plums and crushed blackberries with notions of cigar box, garrigue, damp soil and truffles plus wafts of menthol and underbrush. The palate is medium to full-bodied with a firm frame of grainy tannins and wonderful freshness, finishing long and minerally. Drink through 2045. (LPB)" (06/2018)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2000 Domaine & Selection (Coche-Dury) Meursault (91VN, 90BH, 90RP). Vinous: "The 2000 Meursault Village is a wine that I have tasted twice before. It has a satisfying and precise bouquet that sports a lighter reduction than other vintages, hints of brioche and baked bread unfurling with aeration. The palate is very well balanced with a mixture of white peach and white chocolate infusing the citrus fruit, becoming livelier towards the finish. One forgets that this Village Cru is actually now 18-years old and as such, it has matured with style and class. Tasted at Le Bistro de l'Hôtel in Beaune. (NM)" (05/2019)

2013 Abreu "Thorevilos" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this bottle of 2013 Abreu "Thorevilos" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (100RP, 100VN). Vinous: "The 2013 Thorevilos is a real stunner. Deep, powerful and explosive, the 2013 possesses magnificent structure to match its vivid fruit. Deep and enveloping, the 2013 Thorevilos is an attention-grabbing wine. Crème de cassis, lavender, sage, violet, menthol, graphite, smoke and black cherry gradually flesh out in the glass, but the tannins are going to need much more time than that. Remarkably nuanced for such a big wine, the 2013 is spectacular from the very first taste. The 2013 has always been thrilling. It is all that and more today. (AG)" (12/2016)

1989 Lynch-Bages, Pauillac
Bid on this bottle of 1989 Lynch-Bages, Pauillac (99RP, 96VN, 96WS, 95ST, 94JG, 94JS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1989 has taken forever to shed its formidable tannins, but what a great vintage of Lynch Bages! I would rank it at the top of the pyramid although the 1990, 2000, and down the road, some of the more recent vintages such as 2005, 2009 and 2010 should come close to matching the 1989's extraordinary concentration and undeniable aging potential. Its dense purple color reveals a slight lightening at the edge and the stunning bouquet offers classic notes of creme de cassis, subtle smoke, oak and graphite. Powerful and rich with some tannins still to shed at age 22, it is still a young adolescent in terms of its evolution and will benefit from another 4-5 years of cellaring. It should prove to be a 50 year wine. (RP) 99+" (08/2011)

Bid on this bottle of 2012 Maybach "Amoenus" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95JS, 95RP, (92-94ST), 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Amoenus exhibits that Calistoga earthiness along with fabulously rich blackcurrant fruit intermixed with darker berries, loamy soil notes and high-quality, unsmoked cigar tobacco. Deep, full-bodied and opulent, this terrific Cabernet Sauvignon has some upfront drinkability, but also the structure and muscle to last 15-20 years. These fabulous wines are fashioned from the Weitz Vineyard, which is planted at a 1,000 foot elevation on the eastern side of Oakville. The Amoenus and Materium cuvées are from the Calistoga AVA. The brilliant winemaking guru Thomas Brown provides his expertise at Maybach Family Vineyards. Brown has hit the bull’s eye with every one of these releases. (RP)" (10/2014)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2001 Ridge Vineyards "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon (97RP, 97VN, 97WE, 95W&S, 95WS). Vinous: "The 2001 Monte Bello is a total turn-on. Racy and hedonistic, especially by Ridge standards, the 2001 makes a strong opening statement with its super-ripe fruit and explosive aromatics. Beams of supporting tannin lie in the background and serve to give the wine its overall shape. Hints of leather, mint and sweet tobacco add perfume throughout. Over the last few years, the 2001 has begun to develop quite a bit of more tertiary notes. It remains one of the most flamboyant (and ripest) Monte Bello ever made. (AG)" (06/2017)

Bid on this bottle of 2001 J.-F. Coche-Dury Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru (97ST, 95RP, 95VN, 93BH). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "I was blown away by the power, verve and soil-driven complexity of Coche-Dury's 2001 Corton-Charlemagne. Full yellow in color, it’s approaching maturity but shows every sign of a continuing graceful evolution in bottle. Its vibrant apple, citrus peel and brown spice aromas and flavors have been joined by deeper notes of brioche, white truffle and porcini. This wonderfully tactile, plush wine boasts compelling sweetness leavened by lively acidity, and the musky, minerally, slowly building finish begs for a side of crustaceans. (ST)" (08/2015)

1966 Latour, Pauillac
Bid on this bottle of 1966 Latour, Pauillac (96JG, 96RP, 95VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1966 Latour remains an exemplar of the vintage, certainly one of the best, if not the best Left Bank wine of the vintage. Here, served blind, its quality was a beacon, quintessentially Pauillac with that trademark graphite seam through the intense black fruit, cold stone and a touch of tobacco. It remains undimmed by its age (though this was served from a magnum of impeccable provenance). The palate is medium-bodied and that graphite theme continues unabated, flanked by beautiful, precise and pure vestiges of black fruit. 'Pure class' are the final two words of my tasting note and at 50 years old, they sum up this immensely impressive Château Latour. (NM)" (10/2016)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2000 Ridge Vineyards "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon (95VN, 93DC, 93RP, 92ST). Vinous: "Do you want the good news or the bad news? Well, Ridge's 2000 Monte Bello is still not ready to drink. Huge, rich and voluptuous, but backed up by serious structure, the 2000 is still a very, very young wine. Readers who own the 2000 should be thrilled. With time in the glass, the 2000 starts to open up a little bit aromatically, but the tannins remain imposing. Hints of tobacco, iron, smoke, savory herbs, leather and licorice all add nuance on the close. This dramatic, brooding Monte Bello will likely drink well for another three decades. In 2000, Montebello is 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 23% Merlot and 2% Cabernet Franc. (AG)" (07/2013)

1971 Latour, Pauillac
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1971 Latour, Pauillac (95JG, 94RP, 93JS, 93VN). John Gilman: "As I mentioned above, the 1971 vintage of Latour was in that first small cache of the estate’s wines that I bought back in the mid-1980s, and I have searched out and drunk this wine with great regularity up until only a couple of years ago, when the wine market woke up to its excellence and prices started to move up rather dramatically. It still looks like a stunning value when one considers that the still very backward 2005 was released ex-cellar for 670 euros a bottle, and only a few years back, this gorgeous wine could still be found around $200 a bottle. The wine is classic Latour, offering up a black fruity bouquet of dark berries, cassis, cigar ash, walnuts, gravelly soil tones, a nice touch of meatiness and a plenty smoky topnote. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and now wide open and fully mature, with a fine core, lovely soil signature, melting, suave tannins and lovely length

2013 Emmanuel Rouget Echezeaux
Bid on this bottle of 2013 Emmanuel Rouget Echezeaux ((94-96RP), (92-94BH), 91VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2013 Echézeaux Grand Cru is matured in 100% new oak. The nose is dark and broody, but very well defined and unfurls with hints of iodine and seaweed. The new wood is clearly well integrated and allows the terroir to shine through. The palate is vivacious and bounds along with energy that permeates through the blackberry, boysenberry, mineral and crushed violets notes, then with aeration, along comes a note of kirsch. This is well structured and contains so much energy on the finish that it might well turn out to be Emmanuel’s best contribution to the 2013 vintage. (NM)" (01/2014)

Disgorged June 2017. Drink now through 2022. 400 cases imported. (AN)" (11/2018)

2016 McGah "Scarlett" Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2016 McGah "Scarlett" Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon (93VN, 92JS). Vinous: "Scarlett's 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate is powerful, dense and full of flavor. Medium in body, persistent and nicely layered, the 2016 has a ton to offer. Dark cherry, plum, tobacco, cedar, earthiness and licorice give the wine striking aromatic nuance and dimensions of complexity. The Estate is a classic Rutherford Cabernet long on class and personality. Mike Smith has crafted a gorgeous Cabernet that captures the essence of this site, with an extra kick of raciness that works very nicely. (AG)" (12/2018)

2016 Domaine Heresztyn-Mazzini Clos-St.-Denis Grand Cru
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2016 Domaine Heresztyn-Mazzini Clos-St.-Denis Grand Cru ((94-96RP), (92-94BH)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2016 Clos Saint Denis Grand Cru is raised in 50% new oak from Hermitage and Remond cooperages and includes 70% whole bunch fruit. It has a very well-defined bouquet with blackberry, briary, pressed flowers and minerals that gently unfold in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with fine grain tannin, beautifully focused and it manages to retain the elegance and finesse that defines great Clos Saint Denis. You would not call it understated, but its class creeps up on you by stealth rather than brags about it in your face. (NM)" (12/2017)

2011 Sine Qua Non "The Moment" California White Blend
Bid on this bottle of 2011 Sine Qua Non "The Moment" California White Blend (95RP, 94VN, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Starting off the tasting and a prodigious, unctuous white, the 2011 The Moment checks in as a blend of 57% Roussanne, 19% Petit Manseng, 17% Chardonnay and 7% Viognier that spent 16 months in a combination of concrete, new and used barrels, and stainless steel. Offering up notions of marzipan, citrus oil flowers, marmalade and spiced apricots, it flows onto the palate with full-bodied richness and depth that's balanced by beautiful underlying freshness and clarity. While I would lean towards drinking bottles over the coming 2-3 years, these can absolutely age, and have upwards of 10-15+ years of longevity. Drink now-2017+. (JD)" (08/2013)

1976 Freemark Abbey Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 1976 Freemark Abbey Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (91JG). John Gilman: "The 1976 Freemark Abbey cabernet sauvignon is a lovely example of the vintage, with the “dried fruit character” of this drought year, but with a sweet, extant core and lovely focus and balance still defining the wine as it closes in on its fortieth birthday. The excellent nose jumps from the glass in a blend of desiccated cherries, Rutherford dust, petroleum jelly, dried spice tones and gentle notes of woodsmoke in the upper register. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and velvety, with excellent complexity, a fine core, still just a touch of tannin on the backend and a long, tangy and beautifully balanced finish. Really a lovely bottle of wine at its apogee, but still with plenty of life in it. Drink between 2015-2025." (08/2015)

2013 Bryant Family "DB4" Napa Valley Red Blend
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2013 Bryant Family "DB4" Napa Valley Red Blend (93VN, 90RP). Vinous: "Bryant's DB4 is one of Napa Valley's hidden gems. Round, sweet and expressive - especially for the year - the 2013 exudes richness and intensity, with no excess weight and fabulous overall balance. The 2013 benefits from a high presence of Cabernet Franc that in most years makes the cut for the Bettina. Raspberry jam, mocha, rose petals and mint add the closing shades of nuance. Savvy readers should take note; DB4 is one of the finest wines in Napa Valley in its price range, or any price range for that matter. (AG)" (10/2015)

2004 Alban "Seymour's Vineyard" Edna Valley Syrah
Bid on this bottle of 2004 Alban "Seymour's Vineyard" Edna Valley Syrah (100RP, 98WS, 95ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The most structured of the three Syrahs, the 2004 Syrah Seymour’s Vineyard (100% Syrah from mostly flint and sandstone soils) is the most youthful in the lineup, with still obvious structure, incredible purity, and a finish that just won’t quit. Giving up notions of creme de cassis, smoked meats, crushed rock-like minerality, pepper and even hints of bacon fat, it’s more focused and precise than the Lorraine, yet has full-bodied richness, awesome purity and perfect balance between its structure and fruit. Benefitting from a decant, this fabulous wine will stand toe to toe with the best in the world, and will have another 15-20 years of longevity if well stored. (JD)" (04/2014)

2006 Bond "Matriarch" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2006 Bond "Matriarch" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (94WE, 92JS, 92WS, 90RP, 90ST). Wine Enthusiast: "Matriarch often measures up to the level of BOND and Harlan Estate itself. It is a blend of various BOND components. The ’06 is a classically structured Napa blend, fat and flashy in youth, offering complex waves of blackberry and cherry tart, black currant, cola, licorice and sweet, spicy oak. There’s a savory meatiness reminiscent of salty bacon. But the tannins are significant." (04/2010)

Bid on this bottle of 2005 Sine Qua Non "Atlantis Fe203-2a" California Grenache (100VN, 97RP, 95ST). Vinous: "The 2005 Grenache Atlantis Fe203-2a has been absolutely thrilling both times I have tasted it within the last year. A huge, vertical wine, Atlantis graces the palate with deep, voluptuous red fruit, crushed rocks, smoke, tobacco and mint. Even with all of its intensity and explosiveness, the wine remains light on its feet, with great balance and class to burn. The inclusion of whole clusters adds gorgeous lift and perfume, especially on the finish. At nearly ten years of age, the 2005 Grenache Atlantis is in a perfect spot right now and should continue to drink well for another 5-10 years, perhaps longer. (AG)" (07/2014)

Bid on this 3-half-bottle lot of 2001 Dr. Loosen Erdener Prälat Auslese Goldkapsel Mosel (375ml) (94RP, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The densely layered 2001 Riesling Auslese Erdener Pralat (Gold Capsule) has intense smoky, honeyed aromas. Pear syrup imbued with slate and minerals are intermingled with red berries and kumquats in this medium-bodied, rich, thick wine. Concentrated, powerful, and deep, it appears to have the muscle of a Beerenauslese. Anticipated maturity: 2008-2020. (PR)" (12/2002)

Super-ripe dark cherry, plum, new leather, licorice and sweet spice notes build as this flamboyantly ripe wine shows off its personality. A blend of 78% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Cabernet Franc, 5% Petit Verdot and 2% Merlot, the 2012 Proprietary Red has a deep garnet-purple color and gorgeous crème de cassis, exotic spices, fragrant earth and Christmas pudding notions with touches of chocolate box and licorice. 1988 Calera "Jensen Vineyard" Mt. Harlan Pinot Noir
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1988 Calera "Jensen Vineyard" Mt. Harlan Pinot Noir (96RP, 95VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of the most profound Pinot Noirs I have ever tasted ... anywhere, this extraordinary 14-year old wine remains extremely youthful in spite of its majestic display of aromas and flavors. Boasting prodigious concentration in addition to a stunning smorgasbord of aromas (Japanese soy, candied red and black fruits, autumnal leaves, forest floor, and caramels), it is opulent and dense, with spectacular concentration, medium to full body, and surprising lightness in the mouth. This stunning effort proves that this vineyard can compete with France’s most magical red Burgundies. Not yet fully mature, it should evolve for another decade. Unbelievable wine! (RP)" (12/2002)
