2005 Sine Qua Non "Atlantis Fe203-2a" California Grenache
Bid on this bottle of 2005 Sine Qua Non "Atlantis Fe203-2a" California Grenache (100VN, 97RP, 95ST). Vinous: "The 2005 Grenache Atlantis Fe203-2a has been absolutely thrilling both times I have tasted it within the last year. A huge, vertical wine, Atlantis graces the palate with deep, voluptuous red fruit, crushed rocks, smoke, tobacco and mint. Even with all of its intensity and explosiveness, the wine remains light on its feet, with great balance and class to burn. The inclusion of whole clusters adds gorgeous lift and perfume, especially on the finish. At nearly ten years of age, the 2005 Grenache Atlantis is in a perfect spot right now and should continue to drink well for another 5-10 years, perhaps longer. (AG)" (07/2014)

2014 Horsepower "Sur Echalas Vineyard" Walla Walla Valley Grenache (OWC)
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2014 Horsepower "Sur Echalas Vineyard" Walla Walla Valley Grenache (OWC - 99RP, (59-95WE), 94VN, 94WS) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Reminding me of a hypothetical mix of blood and herbs (blood sausage?), with notes of earth, mushrooms, rose petal and strawberries, the 2014 Grenache Sur Echalas Vineyard is full-bodied, exotic and seamless, with building tannin and a gorgeous saltiness on the finish. Like these latest 2014s, it opens up with time in the glass, has a layered, elegant and incredibly long finish, and perfectly polished tannin. It's not Rayas, it's not Chateauneuf du Pape, it's an incredible, singular wine that stands on its own. (JD)" (06/2017)

2005 Sine Qua Non "Atlantis Fe203-2c" California Grenache
Bid on this bottle of 2005 Sine Qua Non "Atlantis Fe203-2c" California Grenache. Praise for the producer from Vinous: "After having spent most of the last year visiting the reference-point estates in France, Italy and California, I was blown away not just by the quality of what I tasted, but by the maniacal attention to detail that informs everything that happens at Sine Qua Non. Any way you look at it, these wines are magnificent." (AG, 06/2014)

2011 Cayuse "God Only Knows" Walla Walla Valley Grenache
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2011 Cayuse "God Only Knows" Walla Walla Valley Grenache (96RP, 96WE, 95WS, 93VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2011 Grenache God Only Knows is shockingly good in the vintage. Sporting a big, masculine profile, with notions of lite gunpowder, ground pepper, herbs and wild strawberry and blackberry fruit, it flows onto the palate with medium to full-bodied richness, a full, rich mid-palate and a healthy dose of tannin that will require short-term cellaring to integrate. This knockout Grenache will be at its finest from 2016-2026. (JD)" (06/2014)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2010 Cayuse "God Only Knows" Walla Walla Valley Grenache ((92-95JD), 94WE, 93RP, 93ST, 91WS). Jeb Dunnuck: "I was able to taste through multiple barrels of the 2010 God Only Knows and they all were impressive, showing cooler climate profiles with peppery, spicy, black cherry and cassis styled aromas, solid ripeness and deep, structured palates. There’s lot to love here and it will be interesting to see how this sun and heat loving variety ultimately shows from bottle in this cooler than average vintage. " (06/2011)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Cayuse "God Only Knows" Walla Walla Valley Grenache (96RP, 96WE, 93WS, 92VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Structured and backward, the 2012 Grenache God Only Knows Armada Vineyard offers lots of framboise, black cherries, bouquet garni and spice to go with a full-bodied, seamless, elegant feel on the palate. It picks up more and more tannin with time in the glass, and needs 3-4 years of cellaring, but should keep for 15 years or more. (JD)" (06/2015)

2012 Sine Qua Non "Stein" Central Coast Grenache
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Sine Qua Non "Stein" Central Coast Grenache (97RP, (95-97VN)). Vinous: "The 2012 Grenache Stein is incredibly refined, silky and pure, with bright red and blue-hued fruits. Today, the flavors are primary, so readers will have to be patient get the full breadth of aromas, flavors and textures. The Stein is a decidedly feminine, gracious Grenache that impresses for its textural beauty and nuance. I imagine it will provide a long and broad drinking window of pure pleasure over the next 15-20 years. This is an absolutely gorgeous wine from Sine Qua Non. The final blend is 76% Grenache, 16% Syrah and 8% Mourvèdre; 53% from Eleven Confessions, 29% from Cumulus, 9% The Third Twin and 9% Bien Nacido. The 2012 was done with 29% whole clusters and will spend around 22 months in French oak (14%) prior to its scheduled bottling this summer. (AG)" (08/2015)

2013 Cayuse "God Only Knows" Walla Walla Valley Grenache
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2013 Cayuse "God Only Knows" Walla Walla Valley Grenache (94RP, 93VN, 93WE, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Grenache seemed to handle the heat nicely in 2013 and the 2013 Grenache God Only Knows Armada Vineyard offers a gorgeous, rich, almost masculine style (especially when it’s tasted next to the No Girls Grenache) in its dark fruits, crushed herbs, mineral and leather scented profile. Even showing a touch of game with time in the glass, this beauty has fine tannin, plenty of fruit and a great finish, all suggesting it will drink nicely for another decade. (JD)" (06/2016)

2015 Cayuse "God Only Knows" Walla Walla Valley Grenache
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2015 Cayuse "God Only Knows" Walla Walla Valley Grenache (97RP, 94JD, 94JS, 94VN, 93WE, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2015 Grenache God Only Knows Armada Vineyard is superb, wafting from the glass with a bouquet of kaleidoscopic complexity that features aromas of rose hips and peony, ripe cherries and orange rind, mingled with savory bass notes of garrigue, licorice and bay leaf. On the palate, it's full-bodied, layered and expansive, with a deep core of fruit framed by very fine-grained, velvety tannins, concluding with a sapid, even saline finish. Its concentration without weight, as well as its striking aromatic amplitude, mark it out as one of the finest expressions of Grenache to be found in the United States. The 2015 was cropped at 1.2 tons per acre and saw a saignée of 8% to 15%, and it was fermented with 70% to 80% whole cluster, attaining 14.2% alcohol. (WK)" (06/2018)

2014 Cayuse "God Only Knows" Walla Walla Valley Grenache
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2014 Cayuse "God Only Knows" Walla Walla Valley Grenache (97RP, 94WS, 93VN, 93WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "There are 533 cases of the 2014 Grenache God Only Knows Armada Vineyard, and as always, it's an unknown blend that's dominated by Grenache (reportedly from vine cuttings from Rayas). It's fermented with just about 100% whole clusters in concrete and aged mostly in neutral puncheons and foudre, with one concrete egg. A bigger, richer wine than the No Girls cuvee, this beauty packs a punch in its black cherry, reduced strawberry, herbes de Provence and crushed violet aromas and flavors. With full-bodied richness, a supple, elegant style and fine tannin, this singular beauty will benefit from a year or three of cellaring and keep for 10-15 years. Drink through 2032. (JD)" (06/2017)

2016 Sine Qua Non "Dirt Vernacular" California Grenache
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2016 Sine Qua Non "Dirt Vernacular" California Grenache (100JD, (95-98VN), 96RP). Jeb Dunnuck: "One of the finest Grenaches to ever pass my lips is the 2016 Grenache Dirt Vernacular and it’s 78% Grenache, 11.5% Mourvèdre, 7% Touriga Nacional, and the rest Petite Sirah. Reminding me of an old vine Grenache cuvée from the Maurel brothers in Châteauneuf du Pape, it boasts a huge nose of black raspberries, kirsch liqueur, graphite, ground herbs, and pepper. This is one of those wines that offers incredible intensity and depth, yet still just glides over the palate with no sense of heaviness whatsoever. Full-bodied, rich, layered, and pure, it’s a riveting example of Grenache that could come from nowhere else. Drink it any time over the coming 15+ years." (10/2018)

2014 Sine Qua Non "Shakti" California Grenache
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2014 Sine Qua Non "Shakti" California Grenache (100RP, 97JD, 96VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2014 Grenache Shakti is blended of 88% Grenache, 6% Mourvèdre, 4% Petite Sirah and 2% Touriga Nacional, coming 51% from the Cumulus (Estate) Vineyard, 18% from The Third Twin (Estate) Vineyard, 9.5% from Bien Nacido Vineyard and 21.5% for the Eleven Confessions (Estate) Vineyard. It was produced using 42% whole cluster and aged for around 21 months in French oak, 6% new (bottled June 21, 2017). It offers up a deep garnet-purple color and notes of dried Mediterranean herbs, dusty earth, Chinese five spice and rose petals over a core of red currants, mulberries, red plums and black raspberries, plus a waft of chocolate covered cherries. Full-bodied, decadently concentrated and yet very, very pretty in the mouth, it delivers incredibly fine-grained, ripe tannins and wonderful freshness, finishing on a persistent--totally disarming--perfumed red fruit note. 2009 Sine Qua Non "Upside Down" Grenache
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2009 Sine Qua Non "Upside Down" Grenache (96RP, 95ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Grenache Upside Down emerges from the glass with layers of dark red fruit as it sweeps across the palate. There is an inner sweetness and sheer depth that make the 2009 compelling. The 11% Syrah and 5% Mourvedre make themselves heard clearly in adding layers of depth and pure richness. Tar, anise and graphite meld together on the rich, dramatic finish. This is a striking wine endowed with tons of pure textural dimension. The 2009 was sourced from Eleven Confessions (72%), Cumulus (22%) and Bien Nacido (6%) vineyards. (AG)" (04/2012)
