Paolo Paoloni was born into a winemaking family in Le Marche, near Tuscany, and came to Baja to work in the nascent fine wine industry there in the mid-1980s. He specializes in Italian varietal wines and, of course, Super Tuscan style Cab blends from this up and coming, warm region.

Lordes "Lulu" Martinez Ojeda of Bodegas Henri Lurton, was originally from Ensenada and studied abroad in Bordeaux, obtaining her viticulture degree and working for Henri Lurton of Chateau Brane-Cantenac for over a decade. After showing Henri her native region, he set up shop in the Valle de Guadalupe, bringing Lulu on board as chief winemaker. As one of the most in-demand winemakers in the Valle, Lulu has many side projects as well, including overseeing the Palafox wines.
