2007 Thiénot "Black Ball" Blanc de Blancs Brut Champagne (Previously $120)

Absolutely incredible opportunity on this creamy, supple blanc de blancs that still has great focus and precision and superior, long, mineral finish. Like all of the Thienot vintage wines, this bottling is entirely estate grown from the family's nearly seventy acres of vines. (Gary Westby, K&L Champagne buyer) From the winery: "In 1985 Alain Thiénot launched his eponymous Champagne House, driven by his experience as a courtier and close-knit relationships with Champagne growers. The flavors are bright with lime, mineral, passion fruit, and that wonderful chalkiness one wants from a Sancerre. 2015 Château Pesquié "Terrasses" Ventoux (Previously $12)

92 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A smoking good 2015 that readers should snatch up is the 2015 Cotes du Ventoux Cuvee des Terrasses, which is 60% Grenache and 40% Syrah that’s aged in a combination of two- to four-year-old barrels and foudres. Medium to full-bodied, polished, silky and with no hard edges, it has classic Southern Rhone notes of Provencal spices, garrigue, licorice and ripe black raspberries. Buy a case and drink bottles over the coming 5-6 years. (JD)" (12/2016) K&L Notes: One of the great producers of Ventoux, Chateau Pesquie ...

2018 Fabien Collonge Beaujolais Rosé

Fabien Collange is a young winemaker from Beaujoalis. We met him on our recent trip to the region and he presented us with a rosé of Gamay that absolutely knocked our socks off. There is no pretense in his approach to winemaking: his goals are to create terroir-driven wines that are both fun and enjoyable. This is a wine that's fresh, crisp, and clean on the palate with a supple weight and pure flavors of fresh strawberries and spice. This is the affordable rosé you need a case of for the warm months, and maybe a few bottles for the pleasanter fall eveni ...

2018 Domaine des Côtes Blanches Sancerre

Domaine Côtes Blanches was established in the 1930s by Bernard and Pierre Millet. In 1980, it was time for the second generation to take the reins, so François and Monique expanded the estate to 21 hectares of vines (15 Sauvignon, 6 Pinot Noir). After returning from his studies in Beaune five years ago, Nicolas (son of François and Monique) joined the family-run estate and brought a new energized passion. The family is dedicated to the land and the environment by which they are surrounded. All farming is done organically, harvest dates are dictated by na ...

2018 Patient Cottat "Le Grand Caillou" Sauvignon Blanc

Sancerre at half the price! The Fournier family, with roots as deep as their vines in this region, seem to be related to just about everyone in some way. They've been farming and producing wines in Sancerre for generations. We are pleased to have been offered this wine, yet again, at such a great price. Soft, subtle mineral notes are wrapped up in aromatics of melon and citrus. Clean, bright and refreshing, this is a perfect little Sauvignon Blanc. Tropical fruit, citrus and spice aromas and flavors, with vibrant acidity and minerality. Perfect for goat ...

2016 Domaine des Rémizières Saint-Joseph

94 points Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2016 Saint Joseph is a winner. Coming from 40-year-old vines, granite soils, and brought up in 30% new oak, it has straight-up classic notes of blackberries, crushed violets, pepper, and obvious minerality to go with a tight, medium-bodied, concentrated style on the palate. Possessing a rare level of purity and finesse in its tannin, drink this beauty any time over the coming decade." (12/2018) 91 points Vinous: "(50% new oak) Bright purple. Black and blue fruits, olive and licorice on the deeply perfumed nose. Sweet and bro ...

2018 Domaine du Vieil Orme Sauvignon Touraine Blanc

The family-owned domaine dates back to 1804, located in a tiny Loire village named St-Julien-de Chédon. Since 2009, Laurent Benoist has been at the helm, focusing his efforts on sustainable farming and pure, terroir-driven wines. As a region, Touraine has the flexibility to plant a wide range of varieties, so it’s different from the more formal areas such as Vouvray, which only allows Chenin Blanc, or Sancerre, which only allows Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir. In Touraine, they can grow Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc, Malbec, Cabernet Franc, P ...
