2010 La Mission Haut-Brion, Pessac-Léognan

100 points James Suckling: "This is crazy. The nose is so unique with the iodine, stones and currant aromas with wet earth and mushroom. Aromas like this don't usually come out until 10 years or so in the bottle. Classic nose for this estate. Full-bodied, with an amazing palate of firm yet polished tannins and a solid palate. So dense and gorgeous. It is really stunning. Try in 2020. " (02/2013) 98 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A strong candidate for a perfect score in about 15 years, the 2010 La Mission Haut-Brion could well turn out to be a ...

2010 Château Montelena "Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 1.5L (Previously $300)

95 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Bright red-ruby. Exceptional aromatic purity and complexity to the aromas of blueberry, cassis, cocoa powder, mocha, spices and minerals; some very ripe berry pie notes emerged with air. Wonderfully creamy, silky and deep; an utterly seamless wine with the underlying soil-driven minerality to energize and frame its fleshy flavors of dark fruits and spices. This is yet another 2010 whose impression of refinement belies the weather extremes of the growing season. Finishes with building but perfectly in ...

2010 Black Ridge Vineyards "San Andreas" Santa Cruz Mountains Bordeaux Blend (Previously $60)

91 points Wine Enthusiast: "Highly intriguing aromas of forest floor, damp pine trees and blackberry reduction sauce power the nose on this blend. The flavors are quite broad and welcoming, with purple and blue fruits, but also herbs of oregano and thyme. (MK)" (02/2015) K&L Notes: Winemaker’s Notes: "Dark red color. This 'best of the best' barrel selection leads with scents unique to classic Cabernets such as peppercorn, black pepper, blackberry, and game. You can tell right away this will be an excellent pairing with steak or any red meat. The flavor ...

2010 Garric Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (Previously $150)

The passion project of two Chicago physicians, this boutique label gets its reputational gravitas from the hand at the winemaking helm. Pam Starr (formerly of Spottswoode, now of the highly lauded Crocker & Starr) helped Gary Ochwat and Ricardo Cajulis scout out and secure some of Napa's best fruit contracts, and now they use these connections and relationships to craft one wine and one wine only. Any barrels in a given vintage that don't meet the standard of quality they set for themselves are sold off in bulk.

2010 Brandlin "The Bootleg" Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley Mount Veeder (Previously $100)

90 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon The Bootleg comes across as relatively soft and supple for a Mt. Veeder Cabernet. Plums, black cherries, mint, spices and sweet floral notes all wrap around the juicy finish. This up-front, accessible Cabernet Sauvignon should drink well pretty much right out of the gate. (AG)" (12/2012)
