94 points Vinous: "Vivid red. A complex, highly perfumed bouquet evokes fresh red berries, baking spices and potpourri; hints of candied rose and rhubarb emerge with aeration. 93 points James Suckling: "A vibrant Chardonnay with a strong array of peach aromas and subtly flinty edges. There’s plenty of interest on the palate and the tension and power is very impressive, as is the clarity. Drink now." (10/2018) 91 points Wine & Spirits: "A classic from a classic winery, this wine feels generous and focused at once. The scents of lemon and chalk suggest a light wine, but with air an impressive depth emerges, a core of ripe pear and apple, chewy and succulent, with enough brisk acidity to shore it all up." 2015 A to Z Oregon Pinot Noir

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Pale to medium ruby-purple in color, the 2015 Oregon Pinot Noir gives a good intensity of warm red berry/red cherry cordial notes with a bit of baking spices and floral notes in the background. The medium-bodied palate is soft and juicy with a slight grip of chewy tannins and a red berry-laced finish. 2017 Averaen Willamette Valley Chardonnay (Previously $20)

Jade Nouvelle Orleans Absinthe Supérieure (750ml) (Previously $130)

95 points Wine Spectator: "Grab your corkscrew to open a bottle of this absinthe, a tribute to distiller T.A. Breaux's hometown, New Orleans. The light jade liquid louches to cloudy pale green, releasing gentle fennel, rosemary and fresh basil accented with lime zest and white pepper, plus a long, gentle anise finish. Although it's easy-sipping when louched, the undiluted spirit is ideal for prepping a glass to receive a sazerac. 93 points Wine Enthusiast: "This is big and bold, with plenty of anise, licorice and caraway on the nose and palate, plus hints of fennel, black pepper and cinnamon zing on the spicy, mouthwatering finish. Producer recommends for a “Norwegian Bloody Mary,” with tomato juice, lemon and spices. (KN)" (11/2016) K&L Notes: From Portland, Oregon's House Spirits (the makers of Aviation Gin) comes a delightful, domestic aquavit. About the producer: "When he isn’t running the wine program at The Heathman, James operates a small and growing winery specializing in single-vineyard wines with minimal manipulation through SE Wine Collective in Portland. James’ inspiration behind wine making stemmed from the realization that although he loved introducing wines to his diners as a sommelier, he wanted to be 'the guy who actually put the juice in the bottle.'"

2012 Westrey "Oracle Vineyard" Dundee Hills Pinot Noir (Previously $30)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Pinot Noir Oracle Vineyard is dominated by the dense plantings of 2001 (777 clone on Riparia) and 35-year-old Pommard clone, augmented by some younger vines. It underwent a natural ferment in open-top 1,500-liter fermenters, and of the 34 barrels, six were new. It has a subtle marine influence on the nose with blackberry, cranberry leaf and black olive developing in the glass, though it remains tightly wound. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy blackberry and bilberry on the entry. This is a masculine, quite as ...

Logsdon Farmhouse Ales "Rakau Boy" Dry Hopped Wheat w/ Brett, Oregon (750ml) (Previously $12)

According to BeerAdvocate: "Rakau Boy is best described as a non-traditional, Belgian-style witbier-first fermented with Logsdon's blend of witbier yeasts, but dry-hopped with Rakau hops and refermented with the brewery's house strain of Brettanomyces. The brewing process for the beer begins with a lengthy, low-temperature mash rest with Logsdon's soft Mt. Hood water, and a combination of pilsner malt, wheat and oats, which in turn helps to ensure that the final product has plenty of body, while still remaining quite dry courtesy of the Brettanomyces ref ...

2015 Westrey Willamette Valley Pinot Gris (Previously $15)

From the winery: "The 2015 Dundee Hills Pinot Gris comes entirely from fruit from our own Oracle Vineyard. Two-thirds of the vines that produced this wine are 39 years old. The hallmarks of the 2015 growing season are wonderfully intense aromatics and rich, weighty fruit. A long, warm summer produced ripe fruit and challenged us to pick when the acidity was still good. The juice was stainless steel fermented to maintain the freshness and clarity of the very subtle varietal character of Dundee Hills Pinot Gris. We did not allow the wine to undergo a malo ...

2016 Minimus Wines "#23 - Noir" Willamette Valley Red Blend (Previously $47)

92 points John Gilman: "The Minimus #23 “Noir is a blend of one-third each of trousseau, gamay and pinot, but as Chad Stock laughs, “there is a bit of a twist with the pinot portion of the blend!” It turns out that the “pinot” third of the cépages is almost all composed of white grapes- pinot blanc, pinot gris, pinot Gouges, with a bit of pinot meunier tossed in for good measure! All the pinots were fermented as white wine and then blended into the trousseau and gamay. The result is a very compelling and unique red wine, offering p a complex nose of dark ...
