2010 Bois-Malot, Bordeaux Supérieur

Winner Best Of Class, Gold Medal, in the Los Angeles Wine & Spirits Competition, 2013. Château Bois-Malot is located in St-Loubes and situated on the shoreline of the Dordogne River. The soils are clay and light limestone with a subsoil of red pebbles and clay. The blend is 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, and 20% Cabernet Franc. It was aged for 18 months in large vats and then an additional six months in oak.

2017 Buil & Giné "17-XI" Montsant

This curiously named red comes from vines (Red Grenache, Carignan and Ull de Llebre aka Tempranillo) aged 10 to 45 years from the districts of Falset, Marçà, Masroig, Capçanes and Els Guaimets. Different varieties are separately fermented. Maceration is long, at a temperature of 26ºC, followed by the malic-lactic fermentation. Once this process is completed the wine is aged in American oak casks for about 6 months with another 3 to 5 months of aging in bottles.
