Allagash "Curieux" Golden Ale aged in Bourbon Casks, Maine (12oz)

95 points Wine Enthusiast: "Curieux (French for curious) is a Belgian Tripel Ale aged in Jim Beam barrels for eight weeks. Introduced in 2004, this is the June 2010 bottling, for which 825 cases were produced. The nose is loaded with spice, citrus, banana and sour stone fruit with vanilla accents. Big and weighty in the mouth with a lush roundness provided by the elevated abv. While the alcohol is noticeable it’s balanced by peppery spice and Bourbon notes mingling with stone fruit flavors. The moderate effervescence lightens the intense profile, leading ...

With its famous cloudy sediment and its distinctive balance of malt, hops and fruity characters, the old "Red Labe" is a tasty slice of Coopers history. Gaffel Kölsch, Germany (12oz)

The laws protecting the brewing of Kolsch are as strict as Germany's Purity Law of 1516. Kolsch Beer can only be brewed within the city of Cologne. As the best-known Kolsch brewery, Gaffel's flavor is derived from an ale yeast that is "lagered," or aged in cold cellars. Gaffel is pale and faintly fruity with a crisp hop finish. The city of Cologne (or Koln) is located on the Rhine River and north of Munich. In Koln, Germany's third largest city, Kolsch beer is nearly the only beer people drink. Gaffel Kolsch is the town favorite.

Brasserie Dupont "Saison Dupont" Farmhouse Ale, Belgium (750ml)

Six or seven breweries make Saisons. The undisputed classic of the style is Saison Dupont. It comes from an artisanal brewery that is also a working farm (eggs are sold in the ‘executive’ offices!) and produces beers with exquisitely hand-made character, and unruly clumpy yeast. When Saison Dupont first arrived in this country, we had to do quite a bit of explaining about the look of the beer. The brewery has cultured their yeast for taste and aromatic qualities. Because Dupont basically only sells beer from the brewery, they haven't concerned themselves ...

From the brewery: "Cloudy body with some amber hints. The head is frothy, pleasantly white and with a soft texture. The wheat aroma with a fruit and clove hint combines with a strong malty flavour at the back . Avery Brewing Co. "Hazyish IPA" Hazy IPA, Colorado (12oz cans)

A juicy and hazy India Pale Ale with low bitterness, an expressive aroma of four different hop varieties, and a creamy mouthfeel. We wouldn't be Avery Brewing if we didn't put our own stamp on the juicy and hazy IPA style. We took all that is great in a hazy IPA; low bitterness paired with the powerful and juicy aroma of hops, and the silky sensation of the liquid, but brewed for excellent shelf stability and consistency from batch to batch.

El Segundo Brewing Co. "White Dog" IPA, California (16oz can)

The brewery: "Named for Rob's dog, the White alludes to our use of 50% wheat instead of barley in this beer. Aside from that though, this beer has very little in common with what most people consider a "wheat" beer. The wheat in the malt bill gives the beer a lighter texture and mouthfeel, and helps to accentuate the bright citrus characters of the fruity West Coast and New Zealand hops we use. The result is an IPA that Hop Heads will love, but a brew that is immediately approachable for most people."
