2010 Glen Garioch 8 Year Old "Old Particular" K&L Exclusive Single Barrel Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky (750ml) (Previously $50)

This property in Oldmeldrum has a reasonable, albeit disputed, claim to being the oldest legal producer of whisky in Scotland. It officially dates back to 1797 and traditionally it has been a quite heavily peated malt. In the 1990s, under the ownership of Beam Suntory, after a period of closure, Glen Garioch reopened and started producing the unpeated whiskey they're known for today. Even without the peat, Glen Garioch managed to retain lots of richness and it's distinct waxy tallow and spice. This 8 year shows just a smidge of faint smoke, a beautiful s ...

2010 Domaine de la Jaufrette Vacqueyras (Previously $37)

When first tasting the wines of Domaine de la Jaufrette, the name López de Heredia sprang to mind. That famous Rioja producer is known for its late-release and complex reds that are subtle, old school and long lived. Jaufrette can be seen as the Rhône equivalent. Jaufrette is run by Frédéric Chastan, the third generation winemaker to oversee this project. The winery sits just outside the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation but has holdings in Vacqueyras, Gigondas and Côtes-du-Rhône. All the grapes are hand harvested and hand sorted, and the reds are fermente ...

2010 Williams Selyem Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (Previously $75)

91 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Bright red. Very pure, lively aromas of black raspberry, violet, licorice and bitter chocolate. Dense, spicy and sweet but almost weightless, offering nuanced flavors of dark berries and flowers complicated by bitter chocolate and woodsmoke. The persistent, floral-tinged finish features silky, fine-grained tannins and very good energy. (ST)" (05/2012) Wine Enthusiast: "Acidity hits the tongue like a squeeze of lime juice, making it savory and mouthwatering. It really needs food to help it soften ...

2010 Red Car "Ritchie Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (Previously $50)

92 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Chardonnay Ritchie Vineyard shows off terrific energy and vibrancy. Lemon, white flowers, mint and minerals are some of the many notes that burst from the glass in this energetic, focused Chardonnay. This parcel is planted with an older Wente clone and was picked at 21 Brix. (AG)" (12/2011) 92 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Hazy yellow. Lively, mineral-accented scents of green apple, quince, melon and honeysuckle, with a spicy accent building with air. Dense and pungent but lithe, ...

2010 En Tirage Extra Brut Blanc de Blanc Carneros Sparkling Wine

A particularly rare California sparkling wine produced by Don Baumhefner who had been inspired by late disgorged Bollinger to let his wines rest "en tirage" for years. The San Francisco Chronicle's Esther Mobley fell in love with Baumhefner's 1992 and was excited to report in December 2017 that he had released another wine he discovered in Lake County that had come from a vineyard in Carneros. Mobley writes: "The 2010 Blanc de Blancs smells heady, wafting sweet bread dough. It’s rich, nutty and creamy, and more direct than Baumhefner’s 1990 and 1992 vint ...

2010 Kosta Browne "One Sixteen" Russian River Valley Chardonnay (Previously $80)

92 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Light gold. Exuberant pear, lemon and jasmine on the nose, with anise, iodine and wet stone qualities adding complexity. Ginger- and mineral-accented orchard fruit flavors show very good depth and clarity, picking up weight on the back half. Finishes with impressive energy and persistence, leaving a bright floral note behind. This nervy wine has a pH of 3.3, according to Michael Browne. (ST)" (05/2012) 91 points Wine Spectator: "Showing a pithy orange peel and spicy floral edge to the white peach a ...

2010 Anthill Farms "Campbell Ranch" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (Previously $60)

91 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Green-gold. Lees-accented Meyer lemon, quince and pear aromas are brightened by dusty minerality and honeysuckle. At once silky and focused, offering intense orchard fruit and sweet butter qualities accented by anise and ginger nuances. Shows excellent clarity and energy on the finish, showing nervy mineral and spice qualities. This has to be one of the greatest Chardonnay values in the market, from anywhere. (ST)" (05/2012)

2010 Red Car "Zephyr Farms" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (1.5L) (Previously $130)

92 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Pinot Noir Zephyr Farms emerges from the glass with juicy dark cherries, plums, spices, menthol and pine. A rich, intense wine within the context of site and the Red Car style, the 2010 stands out for its depth and round, engaging personality. Hints of wildness in the flavors and tannins could use more bottle age, but the 2010 will always remain a bit less polished than the rest of the Pinots in the lineup. Still, there is a lot to admire. 2010 Red Car "Aphorist - Bartolomei Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (Previously $50)

91 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "A beautifully fresh and attractively well-layered nose of both red and dark berry liqueur aroma enjoys added breadth in the form of plum, violet and spice hints. There is fine intensity to the delineated, pure and concentrated medium-bodied flavors that possess good verve as well as excellent volume on the balanced and lingering finish. There is a slightly grapey character to the mid-palate that is largely offset by a hint of austerity and overall, this is well worth considering. *Outstanding*" (04/2013) 91 points ...

2010 Williams Selyem "Drake Estate Vineyard" Russian River Valley Brut Blanc de Blancs (1.5) (Previously $300)

Winemaker Notes Flavors of butterscotch, honeysuckle, grilled peaches, mineral and spices complement the wonderful acidity. Aromas of Meyer lemon, pear, Pink Lady apple, white peach, ginger bread, quince, melon and tropical fruit salad fill your senses, followed by roasted marshmallows after time in the glass. Stimulating and rich flavors of ginger spice, baked pink lady apples and pear combine with even-handed acidity to produce a creamy textured wine underpinned with a hint of flintiness and seamless oak. A wine to be enjoyed now or with bottle age. Ve ...

2010 Garric Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (Previously $150)

The passion project of two Chicago physicians, this boutique label gets its reputational gravitas from the hand at the winemaking helm. Any barrels in a given vintage that don't meet the standard of quality they set for themselves are sold off in bulk.

90 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon The Bootleg comes across as relatively soft and supple for a Mt. Veeder Cabernet. Plums, black cherries, mint, spices and sweet floral notes all wrap around the juicy finish. This up-front, accessible Cabernet Sauvignon should drink well pretty much right out of the gate. 2010 Red Car "Heaven & Earth - Bohemian Station Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (Previously $60)

There is a lilting and very sophisticated mouth feel to the fresh and vibrant middle weight flavors that display good detail on the wonderfully long and balanced finish. This is less concentrated and powerful than The Aphorist but it's finer. Good stuff here. *Outstanding*" (04/2013) 92 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Bright ruby. 2010 Keplinger "Basilisk" Russian River Valley Grenache (Previously $50)

92 points Vinous: "The 2010 Basilisk is much darker and more explosive than the Red Slope, Keplinger's other Grenache-based red. Graphite, smoke, crushed rocks, plums and menthol all flesh out in a rich, textured Grenache long on power and pure intensity. Orange peel, cloves and smoke all add depth on the intense finish. Basilisk is 100% Grenache from Greywacke Vineyard in Russian River County. 2010 Relic "Kashaya" Sonoma County Pinot Noir (Previously $55)

90 points Wine Enthusiast: "Give this Pinot Noir some time to breathe and mellow in a decanter. Right out of the bottle, it's tough, tannic and jammy in raspberry and cherry flavors. But it doesn't take long for it to pick up some complexities. This wine's rich, sweet oakiness will pair well with steaks, lamb chops and mushroom risottos." (04/2013) Wine Spectator: "A supple, graceful style, with ripe, fleshy plum and black cherry flavors that are pure and delicate, with fine-grained tannins. Drink now through 2020. Gains depth and sweetness with air, finishing with excellent precision and persistence.
