2000 Domaine Font de Michelle "Cuvée Etienne Gonnet" Châteauneuf-du-Pape

91 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Font de Michelle's Cuvee Etienne Gonnet is a 1,000 case, barrique-aged blend of 65% Grenache, 15% Cinsault, 10% Syrah, and 10% Mourvedre. The outstanding 2000 Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee Etienne Gonnet has a dense ruby/purple color as well as aromas of sweet vanilla, lavender, roasted herbs, pepper, cherry, plum, and cassis fruit. It is an opulent, expansive effort with supple tannin, ample complexity, and a classic, long, 40+ second finish. (RP)" (02/2003) 91 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "G ...

2000 Domaine de la Vieille Julienne Châteauneuf-du-Pape "Vieilles Vignes"

97 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2000 Chateauneuf du Pape Vieilles Vignes (15% alcohol) emerges from a cold terroir in the northern sector of the appellation. 2000 M. Chapoutier "Le Pavillon" Ermitage
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2000 M. Chapoutier "Le Pavillon" Ermitage (98RP, 94WS, 93W&S, 93WE, 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Year in and year out, one of the three greatest Hermitages made is Chapoutier’s Le Pavillon. The black/blue-colored 2000 Ermitage Le Pavillon is brilliant out of bottle. Notes of graphite, ink, licorice, creme de cassis, and minerals jump from the glass of this syrup of Hermitage. Full-bodied, unctuously-textured, gorgeously rich, spectacularly concentrated and long, it is a tour de force in winemaking. Anticipated maturity: 2007-2040. (RP)" (06/2003)
