Top Pick!
This year we were more picky than usual in our grain selections. Perhaps the cream of the crop is the 40 year old North British. From Darroze: 100% Ugni Blanc. Yellow color, golden tints. The nose is fine, with some delicate oaky notes (toast, tobacco, Fire color, gold highlights). The nose is fine, marked by aromas of a delicate and controlled woody notes (toasted bread, brown tobacco, butterscotch, honey, beeswax). Superb. In the mouth, we feel again this quality of oak character. Beautiful balance between aromas - alcohol - tannins. Long in the mouth.

Examples abound of vintages from the 1960s and 1970s still drinking marvelously today, proof positive of the age-worthy potential of these highly original wines.

In the '70s, his son Angelo introduced single-vineyard offerings, and the rest is Italian wine history!
