Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1975 Caymus Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Established in 1972, Caymus Vineyards is one of the benchmark Cabernet Sauvignon producers in Napa Valley, with an established reputation for producing some of Napa's finest red wines. Robert Parker says: "Few wineries in the world can boast such an enviable record of consistent excellence as that of Caymus." In 1975 Randall Dunn joined the winemaking team at Caymus, bringing years of experience and expertise to this already highly regarded estate. 94 points from Richard Jennings: "Lightly bricking very dark red violet color; maturing, tart plum, black currant, light menthol nose; silky textured, classic, rich, ripe black currant, tart blackberry palate with years to go yet; long finish." (2/2015)
Starting Bid: $260.00

Bid on this bottle of 1975 Meyney, St-Estephe (90RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: " This has consistently been an outstanding wine, revealing a dark ruby/purple/garnet color with a large-scaled nose of smoked meats, cedar, spices, and earthy black fruits. Full-bodied, moderately tannic, fleshy and intense, this wine has reached full maturity where it should remain for another decade. It is one of the sleepers of the vintage. (RP)" (02/1996)
Starting Bid: $42.00

Bid on this bottle of 1975 Heitz & Knod Brauneberger Juffer Riesling Auslese.
Starting Bid: $50.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1975 Mayacamas "Napa Mountain" Cabernet Sauvignon (96JG, 96VN). Vinous: "Another breathtaking wine, the 1975 Cabernet Sauvignon is all about texture and structure. Remarkably fresh for a wine of its age, the 1975 is pure magic in the glass. The flavors are dark, rich and authoritative. Like the 1976, the 1975 will continue to thrill those lucky enough to own it for another decade, perhaps longer. (AG)" (10/2014)
Starting Bid: $625.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 1975 Mount Veeder Napa Cabernet Sauvignon. This is a wine with some serious altitude! Mount Veeder is a unique mountain estate with vineyards planted high on the volcanic hillsides of the Mayacamas Mountains overlooking the southern end of the Napa Valley. The first vineyards here were planted in the early 1860's by pioneers who instinctively knew the value of these rugged inclines. The Mount Veeder vineyards date back to 1973.
Starting Bid: $240.00

Bid on this half-bottle lot of 1975 d'Yquem, Sauternes (375ml) (98RP, 95WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1975 Château d'Yquem stands as one of the towering successes of that decade and at 40 years of age, it shows no signs of losing any of its prowess. This bottle represented one of the best that I have encountered. Iridescent in color, the bouquet soars from the glass, a pyrotechnic display of quince, Clementine, honey and a touch of aszu, lending it a slight Tokaji-like personality. It is beautifully defined and intense. The palate is pure and detailed with a killer line of acidity, vibrant honeyed fruit and a mellifluous finish that is now fully expressive. It vies with the imperious 1971 as the greatest Yquem of that era. This is simply magnificent. (NM)" (06/2015)
Starting Bid: $300.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1975 Léoville-Barton, St-Julien (90RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "For a 1975 Medoc, this wine has received surprisingly consistent notes. While it has always revealed some of the severity and austerity of the vintage, it has consistently possessed more depth, sweetness of fruit, and a more expansive texture. There is a firm, tannic framework, but the wine is admirably concentrated, with a classic, herb, cassis, cedar, tobacco, and spicy-scented nose, full body, an impressive palate, a youthful personality, and a long finish. There are no signs of color or fruit degradation. (RP)" (02/1996)
Starting Bid: $120.00
