1969 Taylor Fladgate "Very Old Single Harvest" Tawny Port

92 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1969 Very Old Single Harvest Tawny Port comes in with 158 grams of residual sugar. It was bottled in November 2018 with a bar-top cork. The latest release in Taylor's 50-year Colheita program, this doesn't show a lot of energy, and it has a little bitterness on the finish. It is laced with a touch of treacle on opening, but that blends in well after some time. I enjoyed the complexity. It seems very mature in other ways, though, rather soft with relatively little intensity. That's all relative, of course. It ...

1969 Darroze Domaine Bellair 50 Year Old Vintage Cask Strength Armagnac (750ml)

Bottled: October 2018 49yrs in Oak Barrels. 60% Baco, 40% Ugni Blanc. From the producer: "The nose is typical for an armagnac of this age with aromas of leather, wax, gingerbread, licorice, and blond tobacco. Complex in flavors. On the palate, the balance between alcohol, flavors and tannins is incredible. Some silky tannins, some dry fruits and walnut flavors, exceptional length."

1969 A. Ogier "Cuvee Stephane & Stuart" Chateauneuf-du-Pape
Bid on this bottle of 1969 A. Ogier "Cuvee Stephane & Stuart" Chateauneuf-du-Pape. Robert Parker writes: "The Ogier family is a fabulous success story in the northern Rhone. As I have frequently written over the last 30 years, a family of vignerons selling their entire production to negociants, gradually begins to estate bottle, first the father, Michel, and more recently the ambitious and talented son, Stephane. The results are extraordinary wines that thrill consumers. The Ogiers have taken a strong position in Syrah vineyards planted on the hillside terraces outside the old Roman city of Vienne, a few miles north of Cote Rotie. The have two totally different terroirs, La Rosine, which is Syrah planted on granite, and l’Ame Soeur, Syrah planted on schist. Both are very fine, value-priced offerings that offer a faithful introduction into the Ogier winemaking philosophy as well as to northern Rhone Syrah."
