Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Surprisingly rich, fruity, and mouth-filling, the 1969 Suduiraut is one of a number of 1969 Sauternes that turned out considerably better than their red wine siblings." (01/1998)
Price: $99.99

*Special Order Only* *Based on availability from distribution* Jim Murray’s tasting notes... Cask No. 16207: “It begins with a hint of sharp kiwi fruit. Ulmo honey and fudge prop up the sugars and embolden the chalkier vanillas present in this malt. Heather honey intertwines with the sturdier tannins and spices form (...); so much toasted fudge now. Sugars appear at just the right time and in just-so amounts to help create something rather special.” 96 points. Single Malt of the Year 2019 (Single Cask)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1969 Beaulieu Vineyards Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. In 1900, when Georges de Latour decided to buy a small, four-acre property in the town of Rutherford as a surprise for his wife, he perhaps unwittingly purchased a piece of Napa Valley history. The land would become the foundation for Beaulieu Vineyard, which survived Prohibition by having one of a handful of contracts to supply churches with sacramental wine. After Prohibition the winery continued to thrive, experimenting with varietals, blends and aging and under the direction of André Tchelistcheff, the winery would fast become one of California's top wineries, growing production to become one of Napa's pre-eminent producers, yet without compromising quality. From a time in BV's past when delicious and cedary Cabernets were made in an old fashioned, elegant style that, one taste proves, more than stands the test of time. This is a great birthday or anniversary bottle.

*Special Order Only* *Based on availability from distribution* Jim Murray’s tasting notes... Cask No.16203: “Fruit toffee ensures there is a surprising creamy softness (...) The hallmarks of antiquity are here, they just happen to be without aggression or tiredness. Layers of vanilla and the lightest liquorice without taking away from the short burst of juicy barley which arrives about a third of the way in. Brilliant.” 95.5 points
