2012 Sine Qua Non "In the Abstract" California White Blend
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Sine Qua Non "In the Abstract" California White Blend (97RP, 95JS, 94VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "In the same league, the 2012 In The Abstract is a classic Sine Qua Non white blend of 37% Chardonnay, 31% Roussanne, 16% Petite Manseng and 16% Viognier. Coming from roughly equal parts Bien Nacido, Cumulus and Eleven Confessions vineyard, it spent just under 19 months in 48% used barrels (1-4 years old), 27% new French oak and the balance in concrete eggs. It sports a slightly darker color than the Chardonnay and offers up incredible notes of caramelized peaches, poached apples, white flowers and crushed rock that flow seamlessly to a full-bodied, decadent, yet classy and graceful feel on the palate. It’s a classic effort that doesn’t pull any punches, yet also never seems hot, heavy or puts a foot wrong. Enjoy this beauty over the coming decade or more. Drink through 2024. (JD)" (08/2014)

2001 Foxen Santa Barbara Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2001 Foxen Santa Barbara Cabernet Sauvignon. Foxen was founded in 1985 by two Central Coast natives Bill Wathen and Dick Doré and the winery has since established a lasting reputation for producing some of the best wines from the region. Wathen describes his approach to winemaking as: "My belief remains that best winemaking is always the least intrusive, resulting in wines that are honorable to each site. I see my job of the winegrower is to record the organoleptic history of the vineyard year in the bottle, with as little fingerprint as possible. If I can accomplish this each vintage, then I have rewarded myself.”

2006 Sea Smoke "Southing" Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2006 Sea Smoke "Southing" Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir (94WE, 92ST, 90WS). Wine Enthusiast: "Yes, even for a California Pinot, this is a big, strong, full-bodied wine. Southing always is. It could almost morph into a Cabernet Sauvignon. But who cares? It’s compellingly delicious, and isn’t that what wine is all about? Flavorwise, it tastes of cherries, oranges, red currants, violets, raspberries, cedar and peppery spices, with 65% new oak." (12/2008)
