2003 Saxum "Bone Rock - James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Syrah
Bid on this bottle of 2003 Saxum "Bone Rock - James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Syrah (96RP, 94WE, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "More sweet, ripe and up-front, with a downright sexy profile, the 2003 James Berry Vineyard Bone Rock checks in as a blend of 88% Syrah, 8% Grenache and 4% Mourvedre. From a hot vintage and a time when producers were pushing on the ripeness scale, this blockbuster pulls it off in style and offers up loads of sweet blackberry and kirsch fruit, dried flowers, incense, garrigue and licorice-like aromas and flavors. Showing tons of sweet fruit on the palate, with full-bodied richness and depth, sweet tannin and a great finish, it’s made in an unabashedly pedal-to-the-metal style that won’t appeal to everyone, but I’m a fan. It should continue to put a smile on everyone’s face for another 3-5 years. (JD)" (07/2014)

2015 Booker Paso Robles Tasting Lot
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2015 Booker Paso Robles Tasting Lot, including 1-bottle of 2015 Booker "The Ripper 22" Paso Robles Grenache (97JD, 96RP) and 2-bottles of 2015 Booker "Vertigo 22" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (98JD, 95RP). Of the 2015 Booker "Vertigo 22" Paso Robles Rhône Blend,Jeb Dunnuck writes: "The 2015 Vertigo 22 is the same blend as the classic release (48% Syrah, 35% Grenache and 37% Mourvèdre), yet saw 22 months in barrel. As these extend barrel aging durations tend to do (assuming the raw material can handle it), this cuvée is deeper and richer, with more base notes of blackcurrants, espresso, vanilla bean and cured meats. Just heavenly on the palate, with full-bodied richness, a deep, layered texture, ripe tannin and blockbuster length, it says remarkable light and graceful, yet still packs one hell of a punch with its fruit and intensity. Count me more than a little impressed, and this is the finest version/vintage of this cuvée I’ve tasted." (08/2017)

Of the 2009 Saxum "Booker Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend,Jeb Dunnuck writes: "Also showing at the top end of the barrel rating, the spectacular 2009 Saxum Syrah Booker Vineyard (70% Syrah and 30% Mourvedre aged for 24-26 months in barrel) is the most elegant, seamless Booker Vineyard I’ve tasted from this estate (and seems much more finesse driven now than when compared to my thoughts from barrel). Beautifully fresh and perfumed on the nose, with raspberry, crème de cassis, roasted meat, and spring flower like qualities, this full-bodied, voluptuously styled beauty has copious amount of sweet fruit, a silky, sexy texture, and a lengthy finish where more structure and tannin emerges. 2006 Saxum "James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2006 Saxum "James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (95RP, 93VN, 92WE, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "An unfined/unfiltered blend of 45% Syrah, 38% Grenache, and 17% Mourvedre, aged 32 months in a combination of wood vessels, the prodigious 2006 James Berry Vineyard Proprietary Red exhibits beautiful sweet creme de cassis, black raspberry, blackberry, truffle, smoke, and herb notes. This spicy, rich, full-bodied effort should drink beautifully for a decade. (RP)" (08/2009)
