2016 Domaine Dublere Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru (Pre-Arrival, Elsewhere $140)

91-94 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "A potent nose combines notes of green apples, white flowers, wet stone and a whiff of matchstick character. Here too there is exceptionally good richness to the equally opulent but even bigger and richer broad-shouldered flavors that exude notably more minerality on the very dry but not really austere finale that exhibits excellent persistence while really fanning out as it sits on the palate." 2015 Domaine Faiveley Corton-Clos des Cortons Faiveley Grand Cru (1.5L)

97 points James Suckling: "I'm amazed! This is extremely fresh with orange zest and smoky notes, as well as intense cherry aromas. With its stunning concentration and vitality, this could wake the dead! A great and dynamic expression of this unique terroir that could be drunk now, but it also has a huge future ahead of it." (02/2018) 96 points Vinous: "Impressively deep saturated red. Brooding aromas of black cherry, dark berries, licorice, minerals, rose petal and violet. Hugely rich, chewy wine with compelling sweetness and mineral verve to its flavo ...

2016 Thibault Liger-Belair Corton Grand Cru "Clos du Roi"

91-94 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "A pure and very cool nose reluctantly reveals restrained notes of rose petals, red and dark berries that also flashes hints of the sauvage and freshly turned earth. There is outstanding richness and drive to the powerful and seriously intense broad-shouldered flavors that possess excellent mid-palate density thanks to the abundance of dry extract, all wrapped in a linear and robust finish. This serious effort is very impressive." (01/2018) 91-93 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2016 Corton Clos du Roi ...

1990 Domaine Faiveley Corton-Clos des Cortons Faiveley Grand Cru (1.5L)

93 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Many professionals feel that Faiveley's finest wine is not their Chambertin-Clos de Beze, Mazis-Chambertin, or Clos de Vougeot, but their Corton-Clos des Cortons. It is often the most backward of their grands crus. The 1990 offers a nearly opaque purple color, a tight, but promising nose of blackcurrants, toasty new oak, oriental spices, and minerals. In the mouth, it is the most concentrated of all the Faiveley grands crus. Dense and rich, with a high level of soft tannins, this full-bodied, massively endowed wi ...

1998 Domaine Faiveley Corton-Clos des Cortons Faiveley Grand Cru

92 points Vinous: "Good full red with a trace of amber. Very ripe Pinot aromas of redcurrant, spices, tobacco and cedar, plus hints of yellow fruits (peach, quince, pineapple). Plush, supple and fine-grained, with savory fruit, graphite and mineral flavors conveying noteworthy vinosity. Quite broad for the vintage, finishing with substantial dusty, building tannins supported by strong fruit. Another vintage that struck me as a bit claret-like. This wine does not show quite the quality of oak as recent vintages at Faiveley, and its tannins could be sweete ...

1995 Domaine Faiveley Corton-Clos des Cortons Faiveley Grand Cru

94 points Wine Spectator: "Thick, rich and yet so elegant--this is gorgeous red Burgundy. Inky-black in color, concentrated, packing in fruit, fine tannins and acidity, it bursts with complexity, showing violet, plum, soya, currant, clove and spice character. Full-bodied, will improve with cellaring. *Cellar Selection* (PM)" (08/1998) 91 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Still excellent color. Here the nose has gone full-on secondary with darker fruit notes that include plum and currant spiked with leather, warm earth, humus and smoked meat. There is ...

2005 Domaine Bouchard Père et Fils Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru

95 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Pungent stone fruits, cold steel, marzipan and charred oak on the nose. Large-scaled, tactile and quite powerful, with captivating, utterly pure flavors of pineapple, wet stone and minerals. Wonderfully sweet and smooth on the back end, with a lovely light touch, but the dusty, tactile aftertaste is stony and uncompromising. I'd forget about this extremely backward wine for a good decade. (ST) 95+" (09/2007) 94 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "This excellent effort is just now beginning to drink ...

2015 Domaine de la Pousse d'Or Corton-Clos du Roi Grand Cru (1.5L)

92-95 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "There is a pronounced ripeness to the less elegant and much more sauvage-inflected aromas of cassis, plum liqueur, freshly turned earth and forest floor nuances. The palate impression though is more like that of the Bressandes in that it's muscular yet reasonably refined while evidencing focused power on the well-balanced and gorgeously persistent finish. I very much like the mouth feel thanks to the dense but fine-grained tannins and this should also amply reward extended cellaring. *Sweet Spot*" (04/2017) 92-9 ...

2010 Domaine de Montille Corton Grand Cru "Clos du Roi"

93-95 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Corton Clos du Roi graces the palate with exquisite depth and sheer purity. Layers of seamless fruit emerge from this sublime, totally refined wine. De Montille used two-thirds whole clusters and 50% new oak barrels, but none of that stands out. It is the superb depth and purity of the fruit that elevates the Clos du Roi to its lofty position. This really leaves a strong lasting impression. (AG)" (02/2012) 91-94 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "(two-thirds vendange entier; 50% new ...

2017 Domaine Bonneau du Martray Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru(1.5L) (Pre-Arrival)

96 points Decanter: "Anyone who feared that quality would drop after a change of ownership at this historic domaine will be happy to know that this grand cru white is as good as ever. Blending components from three different terroirs and altitudes, it's an elegant, textured, saline white of incredible precision and understated power, with subtle toasty oak and undertones of jasmine and lemongrass. Drinking Window 2021 - 2029. (TA)" (10/2018) 93-95 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2017 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru is very promising indeed, unf ...

2017 Domaine Méo-Camuzet Corton-Clos Rognet Grand Cru (Pre-Arrival)

92-95 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "A moderately oaked nose is comprised by an exuberantly spicy array of plum, cassis, earth and evident sauvage nuances. The impressively rich and seductively textured broad-shouldered flavors coat the palate with sappy dry extract, all wrapped in a balanced, long and highly complex finish. I very much like the way this fans out on the strikingly persistent finish. In short, this is outstanding." (01/2019) 94 points John Gilman: "The 2017 Clos Rognet chez Méo is a step up in depth and grand cru structural convicti ...

2017 Domaine Bouchard Père et Fils Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru (Pre-Arrival)

95 points Decanter: "Bouchard have some of the biggest holdings of Corton-Charlemagne, at 3.9ha, all of them east-facing and high on the slope. This is perfumed and intense, with citrus rind and tangerine notes, chalky freshness and old-vine concentration. The oak is assertive but well integrated. (TA)" (10/2018) 94 points James Suckling: "Super chalky with restrained notes of stones and minerals, as well as orange and clementine aromas and lightly spiced bread dough, in attractive mode. The palate has a smoothly layered and very approachable feel with ...

2016 Domaine Bonneau du Martray Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru

95 points Vinous: "Pale yellow-green. High-pitched aromas of citrus peel, menthol, lavender and white pepper. Extremely tight without coming across as austere, conveying striking purity to its bracing flavors of grapefruit pith, lemon and crushed stone. Adamant minerality gives this very dense wine terrific inner-mouth tension and yet there's an element of leavening sweetness here as well, not to mention compelling floral perfume throughout. This wonderfully smooth, rich yet weightless wine really dances on the palate, spreading out on the unflagging bac ...

2016 Thibault Liger-Belair Corton Grand Cru "Les Renardes"

91-93 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "An intensely earthy and sauvage-infused nose is composed by notes of dark raspberry, violet and a hint of spice. There is once again fine volume, energy and intensity to the broad-shouldered flavors that possess excellent minerality that really comes up on the relatively refined, balanced and austere finale. This is also sufficiently firm that at least some forbearance will be required." 2008 Prince Florent de Merode Corton Grand Cru ''Les Bressandes''
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2008 Prince Florent de Merode Corton Grand Cru ''Les Bressandes''. Tucked below the hill of Corton, the small town of Ladoix-Serrigny (the first wine-producing village one arrives at in the Côte de Beaune when driving south from the Côte de Nuits) is dominated by the beautiful Château de Serrigny, family home of the Prince Florent de Merode. The family has owned this property since the early 1700s, and interestingly, it was not broken up during the revolutionary upheaval late in that century. The current Prince has lived at the Château de Serrigny since 1954, and has run this impressive, twelve hectare estate since that time. In 2008, Domaine de la Romanée-Conti announced it would be leasing nearly six acres to produce three Grand Cru wines from the property.

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2002 Domaine du Pavillon (Albert Bichot) Corton Grand Cru "Clos de Marechaudes" (90BH). This is really an exceptionally pretty wine that offers good muscle, punch and power and should reward 7 to 10 years of cellar time." (10/2004)
