2014 Peter Michael "Point Rouge" Knights Valley Chardonnay
Bid on this bottle of 2014 Peter Michael "Point Rouge" Knights Valley Chardonnay (99RP, 94VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Equally provocative and profound is the magnificent 2014 Chardonnay Point Rouge. Complex notes of tropical fruits intermixed with toast, smoked almonds, brioche and white peach are stunning in this prodigious, full-bodied, multidimensional Chardonnay. Both the 2015 and 2014 are 10- to 15-year wines, but extremely difficult to find in the marketplace. As I have mentioned in the past, readers should note the slight greenish hue to all of the Peter Michael Chardonnays, which seems to be a healthy sign of high-quality fruit and the chlorophyll from the vines. 2009 Domaine Arnaud Ente Meursault "Les Petits Charrons"
Bid on this bottle of 2009 Domaine Arnaud Ente Meursault "Les Petits Charrons" (93JG, (89-92BH), 91ST, 90VN). John Gilman: "Petits Charrons is one of the warmer microclimates in Meursault and the 2009 version from Arnaud Ente is the ripest wine in the cellar this year, weighing in at 13.3 percent alcohol. But the wine is most emphatically not overripe by any stretch of the imagination, just classic Meursault. The very lovely nose offers up scents of apple, oranges, a bit of passion fruit, hazelnuts, iodine, lovely minerality and citrus zest. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and a touch broader on the attack than the Clos des Ambres, with a fine core, impeccable focus and balance and great backend cut and minerality. Just a stellar bottle. Drink between 2015-2035." (12/2010)

2012 Domaine Arnaud Ente Bourgogne Chardonnay
Bid on this bottle of 2012 Domaine Arnaud Ente Bourgogne Chardonnay. Allen Meadows - Burghound: "There is a hint of matchstick sitting atop the ripe and fresh aromas of pear, exotic tea and discreet floral nuances. Here too there is fine volume to the appealingly textured and intense flavors that possess crystalline purity on the clean, racy and well-balanced finale. This would make a great choice for an all-around house white. *Outstanding. Top value*"

Of the 2011 DuMol "Chloe" Russian River Valley Chardonnay,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "From the well-known Ritchie Vineyard, planted with 31-year-old Old Wente clones of Chardonnay, the 2011 Chardonnay Chloe is spectacular. This opulent, flamboyant Chardonnay exhibits lots of white peach, apricot marmalade, honeysuckle and caramelized citrus. Full-bodied with underlying minerality along with terrific purity, texture and sumptuousness, this gorgeous white can be enjoyed over the next 4-5 years. Since its founding in 1996, DuMol has been one of the superstar wineries of the entire California North Coast. 2016 Arnaud Ente Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru "Les Champs Gains"
Bid on this bottle of 2016 Arnaud Ente Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru "Les Champs Gains" (94JG, (91-93BH)). John Gilman: " The aromatic and flavor profile of the 2016 Champ Gains is far more mineral than the beautiful fruit tones displayed by the Referts in this vintage, thought the overall quality of the two wines is very much the same. The 2016 Champgains offers up a deep and transparent bouquet of apple, yellow fruit, very complex, stony minerality, bee pollen and a nice touch of vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and again fairly reserved in profile, with rock solid core, excellent focus and balance and vibrant backend mineral drive on the very long finish that augurs beautifully for this wine’s evolution in bottle. Great juice in the making. 94+" (11/2017)

This full-bodied, stunning Chardonnay has a creamy texture as well as fabulous underlying mineral characteristics. One of the great wines of the vintage, this amazing Chardonnay can be enjoyed over the next decade or more. (RP)" (12/2014)

2011 Domaine Arnaud Ente Meursault
Bid on this bottle of 2011 Domaine Arnaud Ente Meursault ((87-90BH), 90JG). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "A typical Meursault nose of acacia blossom, hazelnut, pear and white peach introduces precise and intense medium-bodied flavors that possess a really lovely mouth feel thanks to the abundant dry extract. There is good breadth if only slightly better than average depth to the dry but not particularly austere finish. A solid if not truly exceptional villages." (06/2013)

1997 Domaine Raveneau Chablis Grand Cru "Clos"
Bid on this bottle of 1997 Domaine Raveneau Chablis Grand Cru "Clos" ((93-95RP), 92BH). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Raveneau's 1997 Chablis Les Clos is undoubtedly grand vin. It offers a plethora of nuanced aromas, including lemons, minerals, flint, clay, and flowers. On the palate, this expansive, powerful, and mouth-coating wine exhibits extraordinary purity to its liquid mineral-dominated flavors. It possesses mind-boggling focus and length. Wines from Les Clos, considered by many to be Chablis' finest vineyard, have a tendency to gain power and body with cellaring. I predict that this presently lace-like yet extremely flavorful and expressive effort will blossom into a wine of considerable depth and richness. (RP)" (06/1999)

1999 Hanzell Sonoma Valley Chardonnay
Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 1999 Hanzell Sonoma Valley Chardonnay (90RP, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This 1999 Chardonnay, no shy wine at 14.5% alcohol, plays it close to the vest in aromatics and flavors ... at least for now. Citrus and mineral notes are displayed in a crisp, full style. It is high in acidity, yet intense, with a striking minerality atypical for most California Chardonnays. Exceptional precision makes it a wine to cellar for a few years, and drink over the following decade. (RP)" (06/2002)

2015 Aubert Sonoma Coast Chardonnay
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2015 Aubert Sonoma Coast Chardonnay. Robert Parker writes: "Mark Aubert continues to set the bar incredibly high for the world-class quality of his Burgundian-styled, remarkable Chardonnays, which come from relatively cool sites spread from Rutherford in Napa Valley to the far reaches of the Sonoma Coast. As I indicated last year, Aubert is at the top of his game, and it is hard to believe any Chardonnay winemaker in the world is turning out a half-dozen Chardonnays at this qualitative level year in and year out. He has had an incredible run of great success, after being mentored by none other than the reclusive and supremely talented Helen Turley when he took over the winemaking job at Peter Michael, then proceeded on to impressive sojourns at Colgin Estate as well as Tom Futo’s winery in Oakville."

2013 Aubert Carneros Chardonnay
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2013 Aubert Carneros Chardonnay. A limited bottling of Carneros Chardonnay that isn't vineyard designated. Robert Parker writes of the winery: "It sounds like a broken record, but Mark Aubert is certainly one of a handful of California’s finest practitioners of Burgundy-styled, classic California Chardonnays... Mark Aubert had an impressive resumé long before he became this famous, mentored by Helen Turley when he was at Peter Michael, and from there spending impressive tenures at Colgin and Tom Futo’s winery before he went off bound for glory. I am a big buyer of these wines every year, and often serve the wines to strangers at charity events. They are consistently the favorites that people taste. 2012 Marcassin "Marcassin Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay
Bid on this bottle of 2012 Marcassin "Marcassin Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (100RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Chardonnay Marcassin Vineyard, which will probably be released in a few months, displays great minerality, notes of honeysuckle, orange marmalade, poached pear, and white flowers as well as a touch of quince. A wine of great intensity, yet incredibly ethereal elegance, this light greenish gold-colored wine is full-bodied, stunningly rich, and altogether remarkable. When you consider that they use 100% new French oak and 100% heavy toast for both their Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs, it is remarkable how little oak appears in these wines. This wine should age well for 10-15 years, as most of the Marcassin Estate Chardonnays have done to date. (RP)" (03/2016)

2009 Peter Michael "Cuvée Indigène" Knights Valley Chardonnay
Bid on this bottle of 2009 Peter Michael "Cuvée Indigène" Knights Valley Chardonnay (95ST, 94RP). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Greenish gold. Pungent aromas of dried pear, lemon pith, saffron and smoky lees, with slow-building minerality and a touch of peat. Densely packed but energetic, offering lively orchard and citrus fruit flavors and an exotic floral quality. The peaty note resonates strongly on the finish, which hangs on with impressive tenacity. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1989 Louis Latour Montrachet Grand Cru (96RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Latour's 1989 Montrachet is the most backward of his 1989 whites. While the bouquet is unforthcoming, the wine is loaded with a steely acidity, massive richness, and possesses a mind-blowing finish. It tastes like eau de vie of buttered apples and liquid popcorn. John Gilman: "The 2016 Clos des Ambres shows all of the refinement and elegance that is inherent in this vintage range from Monsieur Ente. The nose jumps from the glass in a very floral and esthery mix of pear, apple, hazelnuts, chalky soil tones, fruit blossoms and vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and very mineral in personality, with a lovely core of fruit, fine focus and grip, bright acids and a very long, complex and electric finish. This is not a powerful wine by any means, but a wine of complexity, precision and purity that is lithe and intense, rather than muscular. A gorgeous wine. Drink between 2021-2045." (12/2017)

Of the 2011 Peter Michael "Ma Belle-Fille" Knights Valley Chardonnay,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "Typically, there is much less of the 2011 Chardonnay Ma Belle Fille (1,390 cases), which displays good acidity for this vintage. There is a greenish hue to its light gold color and the nose exhibits notes of wet stones, quince, white currants and pineapple. Bid on this bottle of 2007 Domaine Arnaud Ente Meursault "Clos de Ambres" (93JG, (89-91BH), 90RP, 90ST, 90VN). John Gilman: "The Clos des Ambres bottling in ’07 takes the beautiful depth and precision of the Meursault village and adds more dimension, more precision and a crystalline glaze over both the fruit and the soil expressions and produces one of the most beautiful young Meursaults I have had the pleasure to taste. The bouquet is a deep, pure and very classic expression of Meursault, as it delivers a stunning blend of apples, orange, lemon oil, brilliantly complex minerality and a pungent topnote of citrus blossoms. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, rock solid at the core and very tensile, with brilliant focus and cut, just perfect balance and a very long, quite reserved and crystalline finish. A beautiful bottle of Meursault." (01/2009)

Bid on this bottle of 2005 Domaine Arnaud Ente Meursault "La Sève du Clos" (96JG, (91-93BH), 93ST). John Gilman: "This is the very old vine bottling from Monsieur Ente’s parcel in en l’Ormeau, with the vines now over one hundred years of age. I was very intrigued that he decided to serve this next in the lineup, as this is normally the last Meursault served, but he explained that he wanted to continue with the same terroir in the progression. This has typically been his best wine year in and year out, and the 2007 is pure magic. The bouquet is flat out brilliant, as it explodes from the glass in a haze of iodine, orange, passion fruit, lime zest, kaleidoscopic minerality, a touch of hazelnut, spring flowers and perhaps somewhere in all these aromatic fireworks there is a touch of new oak. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, crisp and backward, with a rock solid core of fruit, an unbelievable blade of minerality, and stunning length and grip on the racy, tensile and laser-like finish

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The Chardonnay Cuvée Indigène was inspired by Helen Turley in 1988. Essentially a winemaker’s barrel selection from the finest lots of the Old Wente clone, the dominate clonal component of all these single-vineyard wines, it is fermented with natural yeasts, and has always been one of Peter Michael’s finest Chardonnays. Utter perfection, the 2012 Chardonnay Cuvée Indigène (460 cases) possesses copious notes of orange marmalade, apricot, crème brûlée, honeysuckle, citrus oil and nectarines. 2011 Domaine Arnaud Ente Meursault "Les Petits Charrons"
Bid on this bottle of 2011 Domaine Arnaud Ente Meursault "Les Petits Charrons" (93RP, 92JG, (89-91BH), 91ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This was a fabulous vintage chez Ente, and from magnum the 2011 Meursault Les Petits Charrons is superb, bursting from the glass with an expressive bouquet of citrus zest, preserved lemon, wheat toast and pear, framed by a light touch of reduction. On the palate, the wine is medium-full, sapid and intense, with a deep core, succulent acids and terrific tension through the long, lingering finish. While this is drinking beautifully already, it has the structure and energy to develop for another decade at the very least. (WK)" (01/2018)

2013 Aubert "Lauren Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2013 Aubert "Lauren Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (98RP, 97VN, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The 2013 Chardonnay Lauren Estate is made from 15-year-old vines from the old Wente and Mt. Eden clones of Chardonnay planted in Goldridge soils. This wine offers loads of nectarine, honeysuckle, liquefied rock, quince and white currants. The wine has incredible richness, no real evidence of any of the 100% new oak it is aged in, and a multi-dimensional, long finish. This compelling Chardonnay is still young and capable of lasting 10-15 years. (RP) 98+" (12/2015)

2007 Arnaud Ente Meursault 1er Cru "Les Petits Charrons"
Bid on this bottle of 2007 Arnaud Ente Meursault 1er Cru "Les Petits Charrons" (93JG, 92ST, (89-91BH), 91RP). John Gilman: " I was a tad worried that the other Meursault bottlings in the cellar might suffer after the profound La Sève de Clos, but no problems. The 2007 Petits Charrons is also stunning this year, as it soars from the glass in a classic blend of iodine apple, passion fruit, wet stones, hazelnuts, apple blossoms and a touch of vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, deep, crisp and beautifully balanced, with great mid-palate depth, lovely generosity on the attack, and a stellar, stony and very snappy backend that clearly shows that this wine is on its way up to cruising altitude, and as good as it is to drink today, another four or five years of bottle age will be very, very richly rewarded. A great bottle of Meursault. " (01/2009)

Bid on this bottle of 2013 Domaine Arnaud Ente Meursault ((89-91BH)). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Here the nose is mildly reduced but the underlying fruit seems to be ripe and fresh. This impression of freshness is reinforced thanks to the overtly energetic medium-bodied flavors that also possess excellent volume and richness before culminating in a saline, clean, dry and linear finale." Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2013 Bernard Moreau Batard Montrachet Grand Cru (95JG, (92-94BH), (91-93RP), 92VN). John Gilman: "The 2013 Domaine Moreau Bâtard-Montrachet had been assembled into its small tank a month before my visit, but had not yet been fined and was showing beautifully. The stunning nose soars from the glass in a mix of apple, pear, lemon, chalky soil tones, citrus zest and a lovely base of vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and properly reserved out of the blocks, with a rock solid core, great focus and cut, lovely transparency and outstanding length and grip on the poised and perfectly balanced finish. Great juice in the making. Drink between 2020-2060." (12/2014)

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2012 Domaine Christian Moreau Chablis Grand Cru "Valmur" (95RP, 93BH, 93VN, 93WS, 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This wine was tasted blind at the Burgundy 2012 tasting in Beaune. The 2012 Chablis Grand Cru Valmur is a knockout wine that under tough blind conditions trumped its peers and surpassed my own expectations. It has a delightful and engaging bouquet with honeysuckle and flint aromas, is beautifully defined, focused, very poised and sophisticated. The palate is fresh and engaging, rounded and quite rich, and flattering at this early stage with peach and citrus lemon fanning out on the finish; there are residues of honey on the long aftertaste. I believe the expression is “killer juice.” (NM)" (10/2015)

2007 Domaine Arnaud Ente Meursault "La Sève du Clos"
Bid on this bottle of 2007 Domaine Arnaud Ente Meursault "La Sève du Clos" ((90-92BH), 92RP, 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "There are five barrels this year of Ente’s 2007 Meursault Le Seve du Clos from ancient vines in the Ormeau, as compared with just three in 2006. Musky, narcissus-like florality and ocean breeze salinity and alkalinity in the nose are joined by lemon, yellow plum, white peach, and high-toned herbal essences on a persistently invigorating and mouth-wateringly saline palate, virtually fat-free -- though boasting a slick of glycerin -- and athletic in its leanness and energy. The mineral matter here seems to stick to my teeth, not to mention my gums, along with toasty and faintly bitter notes of nuts and peach kernel. Ethereal floral and herbal distillates and an almost electric tingling of citrus add allure to the wine's formidable, penetrating finish. (DS)" (12/2009)

2009 Marcassin "Three Sisters Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2009 Marcassin "Three Sisters Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (94RP, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Chardonnay Three Sisters comes from volcanic and sedimentary, fragmented soils. It exhibits the classic Old Wente clone nose of white peaches, damp stones, hints of apricot and brioche, and caramelized citrus. Medium to full-bodied and pure with underlying minerality and a nice layered mouthfeel, it should drink well for a decade. (RP)" (12/2013)

2013 Bernard Moreau Chevalier Montrachet Grand Cru
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2013 Bernard Moreau Chevalier Montrachet Grand Cru (97JG, (92-95BH)). John Gilman: "The 2013 Chevalier-Montrachet in the Domaine Moreau cellars is extremely similar to Domaine Leflaive’s this year (and I tasted the two wines a couple of hours apart on the same day), with a beautiful, esthery quality to the bouquet that is very, very special. The glorious bouquet delivers a refined aromatic constellation of apple, pear, lemon, incipient notes of crème patissière, a beautifully complex base of chalky soil tones, spring flowers and vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is deep full-bodied, young and impeccably balanced, with a great core, stellar backend energy and a very, very precise, nascently complex and boundless finish. A spectacular beauty! Drink between 2021-2060. 97+" (12/2014)

There are 470 cases of this beauty (I wish I could have tasted more of DuMol’s 2010s), which offers hints of pineapple, creme caramel, ripe pears and that wet gravelly minerality. 2007 Marcassin "Marcassin Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay
Bid on this bottle of 2007 Marcassin "Marcassin Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (99RP, 95WS, 94DC). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A staggering Chardonnay that’s still an infant, the light yellow/green/gold 2007 offers up notes of unbuttered popcorn, orange liqueur, lemon butter, quince and crushed rocks. It possesses terrific underlying acidity, a full-bodied mouthfeel and a youthfulness and freshness that suggest this wine has two decades of life ahead of it. This majestic Chardonnay seems more French than Californian, but again, this reflects the significance of the labor of these two overachieving, push-the-envelope visionaries. What California viticulture and high-class, minimalist winemaking can achieve is exhibited in bold fashion by this 2007. It will hit its prime in 5-7 years, and appears to be a replay of the 2002 stylistically as well as for its overall potential. (RP) 99+" (06/2012)
