2015 Scacciadiavoli Rosso di Montefalco

92 points Decanter: " A deep, layered and concentrated example, this has lots of structure, tannins, firm grip and older oak character to complement the dark red cherry fruits. Quite drying in the mouth, this is a wine to enjoy with rich meat dishes: great with roasted red meats. (AH)" (01/2019) Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Here's a great wine to pair with spit-fire barbecued pork or lamb chops. The 2015 Montefalco Rosso is a full-bodied red with the strength and firmness to cut through succulent cuts of meat or fatty, cheesy foods. The wine is broa ...

2003 Arnaldo-Caprai "Outsider" Umbria Rosso

3 points Gambero Rosso: "3 Glasses" Wine Spectator: "Clean berry and mineral aromas follow through to a medium- to full-bodied palate, with medium tannins and a mineral finish. Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon." (06/2006) K&L Notes: Rob Lowe, Tom Cruise, Matt Dylan (among others), young, greasy and clad in lots of form fitting denim. 2011 Scacciadiavoli Sagrantino di Montefalco

92 points Wine Spectator: "This finely balanced Sagrantino layers creamy tannins with a pretty array of raspberry ganache, fig cake and dried sage flavors, accented by aromatic hints of rose petal and spice. 1999 Lamborghini "Campoleone" Umbria
Bid on this bottle of 1999 Lamborghini "Campoleone" Umbria (96RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "After tasting the 1997 Campoleone (one of the greatest Italian wines made over recent years), a friend of mine joked that it was a shame these people didn't fashion cars as well as they make wine. This famed 50% Merlot/50% Sangiovese blend comes from a parcel of just under 20 acres. The compelling 1999 Campoleone (20,000 bottles produced) was aged in 100% French oak and bottled without fining or filtration by oenologist Riccardo Cotarella. A dense opaque purple color is accompanied by scents of new saddle leather, blackberry and cassis fruit, licorice, roasted meats, and graphite. Full-bodied and sweet, with a fabulous texture, ripe tannin, adequate acidity, and brilliant definition, this is a tour de force in winemaking. It should drink well for 10-15 years. (RP)" (10/2001)
