1963 Taylor Vintage Port

97 points Wine Spectator: "A big wine with superb balance, a shining example of this exuberantly fruity vintage. Deep ruby, with violets and coffee on the nose, full-bodied, with dried cherry flavors and plenty of tannin, balanced and long on the finish. (JS)" (12/1989) 96 points Vinous: "The 1963 Taylor's Vintage Port is lucid in colour, very well defined with wild strawberry, Clementine, leather and tobacco scents, one of the few to contain a floral element. The palate has a cashmere texture with wild strawberry, cherry and a touch of liquorice, lead ...

1970 Fonseca Vintage Port (Bordeaux Wine Locaters Inc Import) (3.5cm fill, cracked capsule, exposed cork)) (Previously $300)

96 points Wine Spectator: "Some people may enjoy this wine's rather fat, rich and powerful fruit now, but I still find it too young for drinking. Deeply colored, with smoky mint, tar and fruit aromas, full-bodied, with concentrated fruit flavors and plenty of tannins. (JS, Web only-1989)" 95 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Tasted at the Vintners Company’s 650th anniversary celebration at Vintners Hall, the Fonseca 1970 was the finest bottle I have encountered. The bouquet opens beautifully with heady scents of clove, ginger, small red cherries, b ...

2016 Smith Woodhouse Vintage Port (Previously $80)

97 points Wine Spectator: "A serious Port in the making, with dark currant paste, warmed fig sauce and blackberry reduction flavors pouring through. The brambly grip is deeply embedded and there are gorgeous ganache and licorice snap notes hanging on the finish. Hefty and broad, yet this has cut and energy in reserve. Best from 2035 through 2055. Tasted twice, with consistent notes. *Highly Recommended* (JM)" (12/2018) 96 points James Suckling: "This is extremely floral with dark fruit and plum character. Full-bodied, very tight and focused. It's a com ...

1992 Taylor Vintage Port (Previously $300)

100 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Taylor's 1992 Vintage Port is unquestionably the greatest young port I have ever tasted. It represents the essence of what vintage port can achieve. The color is an opaque black/purple, and the nose offers up fabulously intense aromas of minerals, cassis, blackberries, licorice, and spices, as well as extraordinary purity and penetration. Yet this is still an unformed and infantile wine. If Chateau Latour made a late-harvest Cabernet Sauvignon, I suspect it might smell like this. In the mouth, the wine is out of ...

1970 Cockburn Vintage Port (Previously $200)

91 points Wine Enthusiast: "Ruby color, with just a hint of brick at the rim. Mouthfilling red berries and plums, finishing with chocolate and peppery spice. Overall, it’s a bit austere, but pretty, and capable of another decade or two of further aging. Drink or hold. (JC)" (03/2004) Jancis Robinson: "Very dark ruby. (Darker than 1977.) A burnt, rather simple quality to this nose. Not much subtlety. Thick on the palate with very marked sweetness. Hot finish. Thick, sweet and almost New World! (JR) 17.5/20 points" (09/2012)

Taylor Fladgate Reserve Tawny Port (1L, Ships as 3L Due to Bottle Size/Shape) (Previously $55)

90 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The NV Reserve Tawny Port is a blend of multiple grapes, some in a field blend, with an average age of eight years in barrel. It comes in at 113 grams of residual sugar. This is something different—Taylor's normally does not make a Reserve Tawny. Then, it also was bottled in an historical bottle (the Mateus Rosé bottle in shape is close). Finally, it is a one-liter bottle, not a 750-milliliter one, so take that into account with the rather hefty price for a Reserve Tawny. With that price, even taking that one-lit ...
