Wine characteristics: "Deep ruby red with violet accents and a fresh, fruity taste. Delicate finish, well balanced, with refreshing notes of wild strawberries, cherries and raspberries."

Wine Enthusiast: "Real Lambrusco is a rarity in this country, but here it is, purple hued, with just enough fizz to help cut through the fattiness of fine salume. It’s grapy and dry, with hints of anise and herbs that prevent it from being too simple. *Best Buy* " (12/2003) K&L Notes: Lambrusco is not part of the upper echelon of Italian wine. To begin with, it is not expensive. Also, it doesn't come from Tuscany or Piedmont or any of the well known wine-producing regions of Italy. It comes from Emilia-Romagna. And then there's the fact that it's red a...

Wine Spectator: "Easy-drinking and tangy, this frothy sparkler features crushed raspberry, white cherry, sliced almond and citrus peel notes. (AN, Web Only-2015)" K&L Notes: Exuberant is the word to describe this wonderful wine. A generation ago, legions of mass-produced, sweetened-for-the-U.S.-market Lambrusco flowed all over America, ruining the reputation of the DOC until now. Today Lambrusco is enjoying an incredible rebirth amongst lovers of clean, fresh, dry, fruit character with a hint of bubbles. A perfect aperitif, you won't be able to keep tha...

91 points James Suckling: "A dense and dark red with blackberry, mineral and charcoal undertones. Full body, soft and silky tannins with hints of fine bubbles as well. Wet earth at the finish. Fascinating red. Served chilled." (10/2017)

Old-vine, hillside vineyard Lambrusco = serious fun! This is a magnificent wine: dry, slightly fizzy with just a mess of purple froth. We are pretty confident it will be among the most exciting wines you've tried in a while! A perfect match for simple BBQ chicken and burgers or slices of Mortadella and Parmigiano. Some would even venture to suggest a batch of lasagna!

95 points Wine Enthusiast: "Editor's Choice: One of the best Lambruscos out there, this delicious, vibrant wine opens with enticing scents of wild red berry, yellow stone fruit, citrus blossom and a yeasty, comforting whiff of pastry dough. Made by carrying out the secondary fermentation in the bottle, the dry, delicious palate delivers pink grapefruit, crushed strawberry and tangerine alongside crisp acidity and a saline note. KERIN O’KEEFE" (11/2019)

From calcareous yellow clay soils and vines planted in 2002 comes this Sangiovese Superiore from Noelia Ricci. The grapes are hand-harvested and fermentation takes place in stainless steel with an extended maceration of 18 days post-malolactic fermentation. The wines is then aged six months in stainless steel tanks and minimum 8 months in bottle before release.
