2004 Domaine Tortochot Chambertin Grand Cru

94 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Here there is also noticeable if not dominant wood spice that frames the admirably elegant, restrained and very pure, cool and almost airy red berry fruit and intense earth notes that grandly introduce the big-bodied, powerful and mineral-driven flavors that possess strikingly good definition and punch on the austere and stunningly long finish. This too is a bit oaky at present but there is really impressive underlying material. Bravo. " (01/2008) K&L Notes: Burghound's producer note: "For readers who may be unfami ...

2004 Domaine Henri Gouges Nuits.-Saint Georges 1er Cru "Clos des Porrets"

92 points Wine Spectator: "Firm and tight now, with a beam of black cherry, floral and mineral notes. Has a sappy intensity and a sweetness to the fruit that lingers on the spicy finish. Best from 2008 through 2015." (05/2007) 90 points John Gilman: "It was interesting at one of our tastings, as about three quarters of the folks around the table really were impressed with the 2004 Clos des Porrets, and the two folks most sensitive to pyrazines could just not get back its fairly modest touch of the vintage’s character. For me, with a very modest sensiti ...

2004 Domaine Leroy Bourgogne Rouge
Bid on this bottle of 2004 Domaine Leroy Bourgogne Rouge (92BH). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "As one might reasonably expect, this is by far and away the most complex nose I have ever experienced with a so-called Bourgogne, revealing notes of red raspberry, spice, earth and violets that are followed by rich, classy and stylish flavors that possess a textured, pure and wonderfully refined finish that goes on and on. This is of top 1er quality and while the structure is supple, this clearly will age. Lalou Bize-Leroy took the most extraordinary step of declassifying all of her upper level wines to villages level, creating in the process the most striking examples that I have ever tasted for their respective appellations. Given the incredible range of vineyards that Domaine Leroy possesses, this is not surprising but it does raise the obvious question as to why Mme. Bize elected to do such a thing in the first place. Creating a superlative Vosne by blending in the entirety of the Richebour

2004 Domaine Bouchard Père et Fils Chambertin-Clos de Bèze Grand Cru
Bid on this bottle of 2004 Domaine Bouchard Père et Fils Chambertin-Clos de Bèze Grand Cru ((93-95BH), 95ST, 95WE). Wine Enthusiast: "Rich, generous, almost opulent, this brings together great layers of black fruits and figs, wood smoothness and dense, sensual ripeness allied to acidity. There’s power here, too, but it’s a wine to revel in. (RV)" (03/2007)

2004 Domaine Dujac Clos de la Roche Grand Cru
Bid on this bottle of 2004 Domaine Dujac Clos de la Roche Grand Cru (94WE, 92JG, 92WS, 91BH, 91ST). Wine Enthusiast: "On the northern boundary of Morey Saint-Denis, this vineyard produces wines that show some of the power of neighboring Gevrey-Chambertin. This wine, from the hands of the Seysses family, has all that power; it’s packed with very rich red fruits and layers of acidity, sweet tannins and a delicious, lifted finish. Impressive wine, with an obvious ability to age. (RV)" (06/2007)
