2010 Felsina Chianti Classico Riserva
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2010 Felsina Chianti Classico Riserva (93RP, 93WE, 92JS, 92VN, 90ST, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Chianti Classico Riserva is host to a beautiful mix of black mineral, fruit, dried mint and eucalyptus. The wine shows elegant evolution in the glass and backs it up with dry, polished tannins. This is a stunning effort available at a reasonable price. Anticipated maturity: 2015-2028. This is one of the nicest collections of new releases by Giuseppe Mazzocolin’s Felsina. At the edge of the Chianti Classico and Chianti Colli Senesi denominations, the estate counts 475 hectares, of which 61 are planted with vineyard. (ML)" (08/2013)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2010 Talenti Brunello di Montalcino (96JS, 95RP, 93VN, 92DC, 91WE). James Suckling: "A layered and rich red with a light prune, plum and berry character, as well as hints of walnuts. Full-bodied, chewy and tannic yet showing polish and refinement. An almost iodine undertone. Better in 2016." (01/2015)

1990 Montrose, St-Estèphe
Bid on this bottle of 1990 Montrose, St-Estèphe (100RP, 95ST, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "I was served blind a magnum of the 1990 Montrose in Cape Town, which had been purchased on release and stored in perfect conditions. Now, here was the real deal, unfettered by any infection, a regal Saint Estèphe. It shows approximately the same evolution as the 1989 in bottle, but unsurprisingly showed less bricking in magnum format. The bouquet is cut from a different cloth to the 1989 and attests to that warm vintage: hickory, clove, undergrowth and wild fennel, later garrigue-like scents and terracotta, the latter two more pronounced on the bottle format compared to the youthful magnum. The palate is full-bodied and powerful, yet the balance is perfect, a ballerina-like poise with the structure of the Forth Bridge. It is a multi-layered Montrose that offers enormous length, fresh and vibrant with the magnum demonstrating tangible mineralite and tension as it fans out on the crescend

2014 Peter Michael "Point Rouge" Knights Valley Chardonnay
Bid on this bottle of 2014 Peter Michael "Point Rouge" Knights Valley Chardonnay (99RP, 94VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Equally provocative and profound is the magnificent 2014 Chardonnay Point Rouge. Complex notes of tropical fruits intermixed with toast, smoked almonds, brioche and white peach are stunning in this prodigious, full-bodied, multidimensional Chardonnay. Both the 2015 and 2014 are 10- to 15-year wines, but extremely difficult to find in the marketplace. As I have mentioned in the past, readers should note the slight greenish hue to all of the Peter Michael Chardonnays, which seems to be a healthy sign of high-quality fruit and the chlorophyll from the vines. 2013 Aubert "UV-SL Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2013 Aubert "UV-SL Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (96VN, 94RP, 94WS). Vinous: "The 2013 Pinot Noir UV-SL Vineyard is the most opulent and extroverted of these Pinots, but it is also the most compelling. Endowed with huge fruit, and an explosive mid-palate, the UV-SL captures the very best of this style of Pinot. Layers of dark, inky fruit built to a crescendo of intensity and juiciness. Hints of lavender, spices and violets wrap around the finish, with plenty of support from beams of underlying tannin. (AG)" (01/2015)

2005 Agharta "Black Label" North Coast Syrah
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2005 Agharta "Black Label" North Coast Syrah (95JD, 95RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "After the mind-blowing 2004 Agharta Syrah, I had high expectations that it would be followed by additional great wines, and those hopes were answered with the 2005 Black Label, a blend of 97% Syrah, 2% Grenache and 1% Viognier. Aged 64 months (which must be a record in California) in 30% new French oak, it is another spectacular effort from winemaker/proprietor Pax Mahle. It boasts a gorgeously dense plum/purple color as well as stunning notes of black raspberries, gun flint, blackberries, licorice and camphor. This complex red builds incrementally on the palate resulting in a full-bodied, concentrated, complex wine that is bursting at the seams and loaded with potential. It should continue to evolve for another 12-15+ years. Drink through 2026. (RP) 95+" (02/2011)

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2004 Leonetti Columbia Valley Merlot (94RP, 93W&S, 92WE, 91WS, 90ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Though less powerful than the 2003, the aromatically floral 2004 Merlot holds its own in a qualitative comparison. Its nose of roses, wild berries, and cherries leads to a medium to full-bodied, pure core of spicy black cherries. (PR)" (04/2006)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2010 Colgin "IX Estate" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (OWC - 100RP, 97JS, 97VN, 95ST, 94WS) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 IX Estate is another perfect wine. Its opaque purple color is accompanied by copious aromas of blueberries, cassis, pen ink, asphalt, licorice and subtle oak. Full-bodied and rich but light on its feet, this spectacular effort was created from a blend of 63% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, 11% Cabernet Franc and 6% Petit Verdot. 2004 Bond "Matriarch" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this bottle of 2004 Bond "Matriarch" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (94RP, 92VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon Matriarch, which I had rated 93 in 2008, was fashioned from the lots culled out from the single-vineyard wines. This is the most open-knit and evolved of all these 2004s. Full-bodied with fabulously concentrated chocolaty, espresso, black currant and blackberry fruit notes, it is fragrant, silky smooth, broad, supple and altogether captivating. This is a beauty to drink over the next 10-15 years. (RP) A brilliant project of Harlan Estates’ proprietor, Bill Harlan, these single-vineyard wines have been everything a Cabernet connoisseur could ever hope for since they were first released. Amazingly, these wines taste better with age than they did young, which is exactly what Harlan and his winemaking team of Bob Levy and consulting oenologist Michel Rolland are trying to prove. 2013 Ovid "Experiment No. R8.3" Napa Valley Red Blend
Bid on this bottle of 2013 Ovid "Experiment No. R8.3" Napa Valley Red Blend. Ovid's "Experiment" bottling always changes, as the team at Ovid (you guessed it) experiments with different wines and is inspired by the characteristics of new yield. Producer tasting notes: "At Ovid, one of our original forms of experimentation was the way that we planted our vineyards in 2000. We used four different rootstocks and several grape varietals on each in order to explore how they perform on our little piece of Pritchard Hill in different growing and harvest conditions. The 2013 Experiment R8.3 wine is made from grapes grown predominantly on 3309 rootstock. 3309 is an established rootstock well regarded for its low to moderate vigor and production of smaller berries with more intense fruit flavors. Our 3309 blocks of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc are always the first to ripen—an attribute we appreciate here in Napa Valley where grapes are harvested right up to the first big rains. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2001 Domaine Denis Bachelet Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru Vieilles Vignes (93VN, 92RP). Vinous: "Medium red with amber tones. Captivating balsamic nose offers notes of truffle, spiced bread and orange zest, along with a positive porty element. Wonderfully silky and broad, with sexy strawberry and redcurrant flavors complicated by a note of black olive. Really saturates the mouth on the broad, long, gripping finish, hinting at marzipan. 1980 Domaine Comte de Vogüé Musigny Grand Cru Vieilles Vignes
Bid on this bottle of 1980 Domaine Comte de Vogüé Musigny Grand Cru Vieilles Vignes (93BH, 92JG). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Not surprisingly 30 years later, this is much, much fresher in magnum, in fact so much so that it almost seems like a completely different wine. Bricked through. An elegant and wonderfully spicy nose offers up plenty of sous-bois, earth, dried rose petal and a hint of minerality that continues onto the delicious, focused and still relatively concentrated flavors that possess both style and grace before culminating in a refined, delicious and lingering finish. Like most '80s today, this is not a big or even especially powerful effort but the sense of underlying harmony and overall balance is impeccable." (11/2009)

Greatness is suggested by a wonderfully sweet mid-section, gorgeous purity, and this humongous wine's overall symmetry. It also possesses sumptuous layers of concentration, remarkably sweet tannin, low acidity, and a 40+ second finish. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2040. (RP)" (01/2000)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2011 Cayuse "Armada Vineyard" Walla Walla Valley Syrah (98RP, 94WS, 93VN, 93WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2011 Syrah Armada Vineyard is spectacular, and one of the highlights of this tasting, bursting from the glass with aromas of dark chocolate, smoked duck, blackberries, licorice, cassis, burning embers, tapenade and cracked black pepper. On the palate, it's full-bodied, layered and mouthwateringly savory, with cool fruit tones, a lovely underlying line of acidity and plenty of youthful energy, concluding with a refined but gently tannic finish. The product of a cool vintage that many dismissed, Baron dropped 80% of his fruit and did a 20% saigné to produce this compelling wine that screams Syrah and Walla Walla—but also more than nods to the Northern Rhône. Bid on this bottle of 2009 Domaine Arnaud Ente Meursault "Les Petits Charrons" (93JG, (89-92BH), 91ST, 90VN). John Gilman: "Petits Charrons is one of the warmer microclimates in Meursault and the 2009 version from Arnaud Ente is the ripest wine in the cellar this year, weighing in at 13.3 percent alcohol. But the wine is most emphatically not overripe by any stretch of the imagination, just classic Meursault. The very lovely nose offers up scents of apple, oranges, a bit of passion fruit, hazelnuts, iodine, lovely minerality and citrus zest. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and a touch broader on the attack than the Clos des Ambres, with a fine core, impeccable focus and balance and great backend cut and minerality. Just a stellar bottle. Drink between 2015-2035." (12/2010)

Decanter: "This was an unfeasibly young Ben Leroux’s third vintage as régisseur at Comte Armand, although he had already worked there as an apprentice. There’s a hint of the farmyard about this wine, but it also has finesse and fragrance with some ferrous, dried blood notes of a classic Pommard and leafy, tertiary forest floor flavours. 1989 Léoville-Las-Cases, St-Julien
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1989 Léoville-Las-Cases, St-Julien (98DC, 96WS). Decanter: "1989 was an early year, with flowering three weeks ahead of usual. Now at 30 years old, a floral aspect curls out of the glass, with touches of roses and peonies, followed on the palate by bilberries and blackberries, with a cigar smoke and eucalyptus finish. It's still vigorous in its tannic structure, but it's soft and supple enough to enjoy today. This bottle was recorked by hand at the winery last year, with five people checking every single one of the 5,000 bottles remaining at the chateau. The wines were topped up from magnums of the 1989. 3% Petit Verdot completes the blend - a variety not used in the grand vin since 1996. (JA)" (11/2018)

Pure, fresh, lean and delicate but complex and mineral on the palate, this is a lithe and elegant, very finessed and persistent 2008 with grip and expression. The lifted aromatics and beautifully articulated finish impart a sense of freshness that is quite appealing. From barrel, the Ostrea, which emerges from pre World War II parcels in Brochon, was quite a bit deeper. Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2010 Fontodi "Flaccianello della Pieve" Toscana (97RP, 96VN, 96WS, 94JS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "I remember the thrill this wine gave me when I tasted it upon release. The 2010 Flaccianello della Pieve is a spectacular effort that has only just started its evolutionary journey. This wine has a long, long way to go and I hope to be able to check on its progress with some degree of frequency. In fact, I'm moving the drinking window up by a few years to give it more breathing room. The wine opens to a rich and masculine appearance, and there are iron-like notes that seem specific to this vintage. More mineral and granite stone add great definition. At the core of this wine is a dark and savory serving of black cherry and spice that aspire to seamless integration. The tannins are still firmly on-guard, and this wine needs more time to complete its integration and start its elegant cellar evolution. (ML)" (10/2015)

Very sweet on entry, then wonderfully concentrated, densely packed and broad, with superb precision and verve. Bid on this bottle of 2007 Peter Michael "Les Pavots" Knights Valley Bordeaux Blend (97RP, 93JS, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2007 Les Pavots, a Bordeaux varietal blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Cabernet Franc, 10% Merlot, and 3% Petit Verdot, is brilliant. Its opaque purple color is accompanied by gorgeously complex aromas of melted chocolate, espresso roast, blackberries, and cassis. Full-bodied with a superb texture, a subtle note of oak, and fabulous concentration, it is more reminiscent of a Right Bank Bordeaux than one expects with this much Cabernet Sauvignon in the blend. A thirty-year wine, its impeccable balance and the sweetness of its tannins make it accessible already. (RP)" (02/2010)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2015 Schrader "Beckstoffer To Kalon - RBS" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98JD, 98RP, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Coming from the Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard, blocks B1, B2 and E2 planted to clone 337, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon RBS has a very deep purple-black color and is a little reticent to begin, offering glimpses at crushed black berries, black cherries and black currants with touches of cedar chest, pencil lead, dark chocolate and dusty earth with a waft of cinnamon stick. Medium to full-bodied and tautly structured with rock-solid, firm, grainy tannins and seamless freshness supporting the muscular fruit, it finishes on a lingering earthy note. Forget this one over the next 4-5 years, and drink it over the next 25+. 1,096 cases produced. (LPB) 98+" (12/2017)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Ridge Vineyards "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon (98VN, 96JS, 96RP, 94DC, 94WS, 93W&S). Vinous: "The 2012 Monte Bello is one of the most harmonious young Monte Bellos I can remember tasting. Seamless and voluptuous through to the finish, the 2012 is showing beautifully today. Raspberry jam, pomegranate, white flowers, mint and spices are some of the many notes that flesh out in the glass. A wine with a distinctly red-hued profile, silky tannins, no hard edges and exceptional overall balance, the 2012 Monte Bello is simply magnificent. The 2012 is racy but also impeccably balanced throughout, with shades of the 2001 that come through from time to time. I won't be surprised if the 2013 and 2014 both eventually surpass it, but there is no denying that the 2012 is simply stunning today. This is one of the best showings yet for the 2012. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2015 Philip Togni "Estate" Spring Mountain District Cabernet Sauvignon (96RP, 96WS, 94VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Medium garnet-purple colored, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate has a very classic nose of cassis, warm plums and crushed blackberries with notions of cigar box, garrigue, damp soil and truffles plus wafts of menthol and underbrush. The palate is medium to full-bodied with a firm frame of grainy tannins and wonderful freshness, finishing long and minerally. Drink through 2045. (LPB)" (06/2018)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2014 Schrader "Beckstoffer Las Piedras, LPV" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (99RP, 97JS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon LPV is from clone 337 from the Las Piedras Vineyard in St. Helena. This shows Mission Haut-Brion-like characteristics as it has in the past, with crushed rock, wet gravel, scorched earth, blackberry and blueberry fruit. It is clearly one of my favorites of this entire tasting. It has 14.5% natural alcohol and was aged in 90% new Darnajou and 10% new Taransaud barrels. This is a killer effort. (RP)" (10/2016)

Of the 2011 DuMol "Chloe" Russian River Valley Chardonnay,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "From the well-known Ritchie Vineyard, planted with 31-year-old Old Wente clones of Chardonnay, the 2011 Chardonnay Chloe is spectacular. This opulent, flamboyant Chardonnay exhibits lots of white peach, apricot marmalade, honeysuckle and caramelized citrus. Full-bodied with underlying minerality along with terrific purity, texture and sumptuousness, this gorgeous white can be enjoyed over the next 4-5 years. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1999 Dalla Valle "Maya" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (97JD, 97RP, 96ST, 96WE, 95WS, 92VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The virtually perfect 1999 Maya is a wine of stupendous unctuosity, richness, fruit, and elegance. It is remarkable that the Cabernet Franc grown in these red volcanic soils can produce wines of such intensity as well as elegance. Notes of cassis, blueberries, blackberries, espresso, smoke, earth, and vanilla are offered in a full-bodied, profoundly concentrated and layered style. For whatever reason, the 1999 Maya revealed more forwardness than the Cabernet Sauvignon cuvee. Drink through 2024. (RP)" (08/2002)

This Cabernet will benefit from four to six years of cellaring, and should evolve for 40 years. (RP)" (12/2009)

1978 Matanzas Creek Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 1978 Matanzas Creek Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon. Matanzas Creek were among the pioneers of grapegrowing and winemaking in Sonoma County's Bennett Valley, near Santa Rosa. Established in 1977 by Sandra McIver, the winery's early days produced some breathtaking wines that took this quiet area surrounded by mountains and launched it onto the wine scene. The 1978 vintage was the inaugural vintage and the winemaker was none other than the legendary Merry Edwards who stayed in residence until 1984. Another one of those 1970's California wines that makes you pause in wonder.

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2010 Paolo Conterno "Ginestra" Barolo Riserva (OWC - 97JS, 97RP, (93-96VN), 92WS) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Wow, this is really quite a wine. The 2010 Barolo Riserva Ginestra is guided by three lucky stars: First, it is made by an excellent producer. Second, it comes from an excellent vintage. And third, it comes from an excellent vineyard site. This is a stunning achievement that is teeming with life, intensity, elegance, pedigree and sheer excitement. The bouquet achieves impressive balance with fruit, spice, mineral and tertiary tones that are all played forward with equal intensity. There is a spot of sweetness on the close (with 15% alcohol) that adds to the volume and fullness of the mouthfeel. This wine merits a special place at the back of your cellar where it can age undisturbed for the next decade or two. (ML)" (09/2018)

2002 Corison "Kronos" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2002 Corison "Kronos" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (91ST, 90WE). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Ruby-red. Red cherry, currant, plum and a floral note on the nose; this struck me as rather Burgundian. Supple, fresh and sweet, with juicy flavors of plum, cherry, mint and flowers. Offers enticing complexity and cut. Finishes with very sweet, fine-grained tannins. The 35-year-old vines here typically yield just a ton and a half of fruit per acre. This benchland Cabernet produces ripe flavors and ripe tannins early, but the St. George rootstock helps to slow down sugar accumulation, notes Corison, who added that this wine has less than 14% alcohol. 1934 Viuva José Gomes da Silva & Filhos Colares Riserva Velho
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1934 Viuva José Gomes da Silva & Filhos Colares Riserva Velho. The little-known region of Colares enjoyed a brief time in the sun in the first few decades of the 20th century, as it was one of the few European wine regions to escape the ravages of phylloxera, thanks to its sandy soils and coastal climate. The also little-known Ramisco varietal is and was the resident grape for the region's winemakers. Gomes da Silva & Filhos is undoubtedly the most famous and most widely available producer from this region, with vintages from the 1940s, 1950s, and 1960s routinely wowing collectors and geeks across the online wine community (just check out the threads on Cellar Tracker and Wine Berserkers to get a sense of what these wines are capable of). Based on their track record, these are some of the longest-lived red wines in the world, period, full stop. These 1930s bottlings should be the ultimate testament to the impeccable stature of the region known as "Portugal's

1975 Gruaud-Larose, St-Julien
Bid on this bottle of 1975 Gruaud-Larose, St-Julien. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This massive, backward wine appears to resist aging. Still bitterly tannic, impressively-colored (dark garnet with no amber), and monstrous on the palate, this wine will either turn out like the outstanding 1928 and begin to reveal some charm and character around age 40, or it will dry out, much like the 1948. It needs another 5-10 years of cellaring... It is likely to be appreciated only by the most patient Bordeaux enthusiasts. I would not be surprised to see some wine writer touting its greatness around 2025, long after most of it had been consumed and found to be pleasureless. Owners should try not to touch a bottle before 2005. Drink through 2025. (RP)" (02/1996)

Of the 2015 Sine Qua Non "The Third Twin" Central Coast Graciano,Vinous writes: "The 2015 Graciano The Third Twin is a total stunner. Wow. Unctuous, ripe and explosive, with tremendous fruit density and aromatic depth, the 2015 simply has it all. Layers of fruit unfold in this glass as this extravagantly rich, opulent wine shows off its personality. Although not especially subtle, the 2015 simply has it all. Dollops of Mourvedre and Petite Sirah round out the blend. Readers who can find the 2015 should not hesitate, as it is truly magnificent. Sadly, there are just under 67 cases to go around. Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2012 Pape Clément, Pessac-Léognan (97RP, 94JD, 94VN, 94WS, 93JS, 93WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The iconic 2012 Pape Clement is a candidate for near-perfection as well as one of the wines of the vintage. From proprietor Bernard Magrez, this is a blend of 51% Cabernet Sauvignon, 46% Merlot, 2% Petit Verdot and 1% Cabernet Franc. This extraordinary vineyard (a few miles to the west of Haut Brion and La Mission Haut Brion) has hit all the highlights of this vintage. Interestingly, the quality of the Pomerols and Graves wines in 2012 is closer to what one would consider a great vintage than the general image of 2012. This is truly great wine and not far off their magnificent 2005 and 2010. Full-bodied, with rich cassis, subtle burning embers and spice followed by velvety, well-integrated tannins, the wine is lush, expansive, savory and profound. This is a remarkable wine that could be drunk at a reasonably young age, but should cellar brilliantly for a q
