2016 Cultivar Napa Cabernet Sauvignon
Review Date: 01-05-2020
This is a Cabernet made for Cabernet lovers. Unabashedly bright red fruits, a silky smooth body, and polished tannins. I could smell this wine all day! Mmmm, cherries. It hails from a vintage you'd have to try to goof up.

2017 Chappellet "Signature" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

Whoa, Nelly! This is a dense, fruit-packed monster. Layer after layer of black cherry and cassis notes are ushered in by ample tannins. If you're a fan of big California Cabs, look no further.

Victory Brewing Co. "Prima Pils" Pilsner, Pennsylvania (12oz)
Review Date: 12-29-2019
This is one of the best pilsners in the US. A beautiful light gold color with lovely lacing in the glass. Aromas of spice and grain are exuded from the moment this charming beer is poured. A must try for any aspiring beer adventurer and the expert alike.

2017 Liparita Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon
Review Date: 12-29-2019
Liparita has been one of our best-sellers over the past year. It provides an exceptional example of cab characteristics for the money. When I first tried this 2017, it was a tad tight and tannic. Those attributes have departed and there's a wonderful harmony to this wine. Full-bodied with classic black cherry nuances, this is a must buy.

This is a lovely wine full of polished tannins and grace. Medium-bodied and chock full of bright berry notes, this is an exceptional value for $20. The great acidity that accompanies the finish makes it a natural pairing with sumptuous dishes.

2017 Seghesio Sonoma County Zinfandel
Review Date: 12-29-2019
I took a bottle of this home for the holidays. I was blown away by it's complexity and rich body for such a reasonable price. Big spices and deep, dark fruits abound with a full-bodied mouthfeel. A great value at twice the price!

Orval Trappist Ale, Belgium (11.2 oz)
Review Date: 12-29-2019
This is one of my favorite beers in the world. The fermentation process is rather unique. Wild yeast is introduced and fermentation takes place in the bottle. This beer is evolving with each passing day. It's full of spice notes with a tiny bit of funk. It will pickup sour nuances as it ages.

Brasserie Trappistes Rochefort "6" Strong Ale, Belgium (11.2oz)
Review Date: 12-29-2019
An absolute classic if you're a beer geek or just getting into beer. Brewed by monks, it will make you feel closer to your higher power with each sip. Rich and sultry with hints of molasses and caramel. This pairs just as well with your favorite savory dish as any glass of red wine.

2014 Ramey Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Review Date: 12-28-2019
David Ramey is a legend in Napa Valley and throughout the wine world. Antonio Galloni has said, “In my mind, Ramey is one of the top wineries in the United States.” This is a Bordeaux-style blend that checks all the boxes. Rich, earthy and impeccably balanced, this is a unanimous staff favorite.

2017 Banshee Sonoma County Pinot Noir
Review Date: 10-22-2019
This a Californian Pinot Noir through and through. It's big and extracted. There's no denying it's a muscular cherry bomb. I wish more Pinots were made in this style. We're California! Let Oregon and Burgundy have their lean ho-hum takes on this grape. If you want something that's out of the ordinary, be bold and make a bottle yours. You owe it to yourself.

2016 Koyle "Cerro Basalto Cuartel G2" Colchagua Valley
Review Date: 07-07-2019
This is a biodynamic/vegan wine near and dear to my heart. These markets continue to emerge in the wine community with massive growth predicted for the future. This blend of Carmenere and Cabernet Franc has a vibrant and wild dark garnet hue with a touch of cherry and earthen notes. You can taste the terroir gained from the mountainous terrain and volcanic basaltic soil.

For over three decades, Mount Eden Vineyards has made a stunning quintessential California chardonnay. Rich layers of citrus notes abound with a hearty dose of honeysuckle and oak. This is an exemplary take on an American classic. A tremendous value that should command twice the price.
